Original job description

Hi there! Thanks for stopping by 👋

Are you actively looking for a new opportunity? Or just checking the market? Well… you might just be in the right place!

Lightspeed is looking for an Account Executive to join our Hospitality sales team. Ideally, you will be based in Toronto or Montreal, where you’ll collaborate closely with your teammates in a flexible hybrid environment.

In this role, you will help restaurants across North America discover how Lightspeed can power and grow their business.

You’ll work primarily with qualified inbound leads, running product demonstrations, understanding the operational needs of restaurant owners, and guiding prospects through the full sales process.

This is an excellent opportunity for a SaaS Account Executive who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, running demos, and helping customers adopt technology that improves their business.

If you enjoy sales, technology, and working with entrepreneurs in the hospitality industry, this could be the perfect role for you.

What you’ll be doing:

Manage and follow up with qualified inbound leads generated by our marketing and SDR teams
Run product demonstrations via video calls and screen sharing for prospective restaurant customers
Understand the operational needs of restaurant owners and recommend the right Lightspeed solution
Guide prospects through the full sales cycle from demo to close
Collaborate closely with Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) to coordinate demos and opportunities
Work with internal stakeholders on pricing and deal structuring when required
Maintain accurate deal progression and pipeline management in Salesforce
Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
Support new customers through the initial stages of onboarding and go-live

What you need to bring:

2–4 years of sales experience, ideally in SaaS or technology sales
Experience running product demonstrations or consultative sales conversations
Strong communication and presentation skills
Ability to manage multiple opportunities in a high-volume sales environment
A proactive mindset with strong ownership and accountability
Curiosity and a willingness to continuously learn and improve
Excellent written and spoken English
As a global company with employees and clients outside of Quebec, fluency in English as a working language is required for this position.

And a little bit of…

Experience selling SaaS or software solutions
Experience selling to SMB customers
Experience in the hospitality or restaurant industry
Familiarity with POS, payments, or business management software
Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM platforms

We know that people are more than what’s on their CV. If you’re unsure that you have the right profile for the role... hit the ‘Apply’ button and give it a try!

Be a changemakerYou’ll enjoy:

A flexible work environment that empowers you to do your best work
A culture that celebrates performance
The chance to make an impact in a team that’s big enough for career growth, but lean enough to make your voice heard
Career-defining opportunities

Plus benefits designed to keep you happy, healthy and fulfilled.

Flexible paid time off and remote work policies
Equity options, because this is your company too
Contributions to your pension plan. Your future matters
Training opportunities to grow your skills and career
Health and wellness credit so you feel your best
Time off to volunteer and give back to your community
Interest groups, employee led networks, social committees to sponsored sports teams
Computer purchase program to get your personal Macbook
Enhanced parental leave to support growing families

Fuel your growth. Find your people. At Lightspeed, your growth is our priority. We invest in you with continuous learning opportunities, global mobility and benefits designed to support you - all within a driven, diverse and inclusive team that’s passionate about empowering our communities.

At Lightspeed, we carefully consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, including your skill set, qualifications, experience, and market data. These considerations can cause your compensation to vary. We reasonably expect the total compensation for this position to be in the range of $57,000 TO $95,000 CAD. Lightspeed also provides a variety of employee benefits including, but not limited to, medical, dental, wellness, life and disability insurance, RRSP plan and match, paid parental leave top-up, and paid time off.

Please note that this compensation information is solely for candidates hired to perform work within Ontario and reflects the amount Lightspeed is willing to pay at the time of this posting. Lightspeed welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities. Accommodations are available on request for candidates taking part in all aspects of the selection process.

Where to from here?
