- Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine work requirements
- Measure and mark sheet metal according to template
- Grind and buff seams, joints and rough surfaces
- Schedule work
- Inspect products to ensure quality and conformity to specification
- Cut materials using power tools or by hand
- Assemble, erect and install hoisting and rigging equipment
- Estimate costs and materials
- Operate CADD and other computer software systems
- Fit and join sheet metal parts
- Install sheet metal products according to specifications and building codes

Responsibilities
Read blueprints and specifications, measure, cut, shape, fit, and join sheet metal, and install products in accordance with specifications and building codes. Inspect finished work for quality, schedule tasks, estimate costs and materials, and operate CADD software and hoisting and rigging equipment.
Requirements
Requires a secondary school graduation certificate and 2 to less than 3 years of experience. The role is performed on-site and involves sheet metal fabrication, installation, inspection, and related equipment and software.
