What you will do:
Responsible for creating/revising, checking, and releasing drawings and models to company quality standards. Provide CAD guidance on complex drawings and models. Expertise in customers’ drawing standards, CAD requirements, and data exchange with customers.
Create, revise, and check drawings and models for designs related to products, product platforms, components, systems, testing, or equipment
Responsible for checking and releasing CAD data to company quality standards
Responsible for creating/checking customer drawings and models in compliance with customers’ standards and CAD requirements
Exchange CAD data with customers and release CAD data to customers’ databases
Develop best practice guidelines on CAD modelling, drafting, and data management for the company, and provide CAD guidance to Engineers/other CAD users
Responsible for completing CAD tasks to meet customer/project deadlines
Strive for continuous improvement in all aspects of work
What you will bring:
Bachelors’ degree or College diploma in Engineering, Applied Science, or a technology-related field
CSWP (Certified SolidWorks Professional) - Mechanical Design
CSWPA (Certified SolidWorks Professional) - Advanced Drawing Tools is an asset
Analytical skills for complex problem solving
Good organizational and interpersonal skills
Effective priority and time management; autonomous and responsible
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
3+ years of SolidWorks experience
1+ year of NX, CATIA, or Creo experience
Experience in product design and development with applied GD&T
Experience in PLM/PDM
Experience in working in the mechanical or electrical engineering industry
Additional Information:
• Compensation: $80,000 to $100,000 annually

Responsibilities
Create, revise, check, and release CAD drawings, models, and data to company and customer standards, supporting product, component, system, testing, and equipment designs. Provide CAD guidance, develop best-practice guidelines for modeling and data management, exchange data with customers, and complete work to project deadlines.
Requirements
A bachelor's degree or college diploma in engineering, applied science, or a technology-related field is required, along with at least three years of SolidWorks experience and one year of experience with NX, CATIA, or Creo. Candidates should have product design and development experience using GD&T, PLM/PDM experience, strong analytical and organizational skills, and effective communication and time-management abilities; CSWP certification is required, while CSWPA Advanced Drawing Tools is an asset.
