Why Join Litens
At Litens, you can make an impact. We’ve purposefully created a supportive and flexible environment that gives everyone the opportunity to succeed. Litens offers a competitive and people-first approach to compensation and benefits, and we are committed to provide balanced employment and advancement opportunities for everyone.
Our diversity is our source of strength. At Litens, we are committed to equal employment opportunity, and we value and welcome diversity.
We are seeking a hands-on engineer to develop and integrate electrical and electromechanical plant models for electrified products. The role focuses on electric motors, inverters and power electronics, controls, and their interaction with mechanical and thermal systems. Models will support engineering analysis, MIL/HIL development, real-time simulation, and physical-test correlation.
What you will do:
Develop electrical and electromechanical plant models for motors, inverters, power electronics, sensors, actuators, and controls.
Build and validate integrated motor + inverter + controller models at the fidelity required for design decisions and controls development.
Integrate electrical models with mechanical, thermal, fluid, and system-level plant models.
Develop models in MATLAB/Simulink/Simscape and related simulation environments.
Support MIL, HIL, and real-time simulation, including model simplification or reduced-order approaches when required.
Correlate models with test or measurement data and define practical validation criteria.
Establish reusable, documented, and version-controlled modeling practices across engineering teams.
What you will bring:
PhD (preferred) or Master’s Degree in Electrical, Mechatronics, Controls Engineering, or a closely related field.
Strong hands-on experience developing electrical or electromechanical simulation models, not only integrating models developed by others.
Practical experience modeling electric motors and motor drives/inverters.
Strong understanding of controls and closed-loop dynamic systems.
Experience with MATLAB/Simulink/Simscape or an equivalent model-based engineering environment.
Experience validating simulation models against physical test data.
HIL or real-time simulation experience using Speedgoat, dSPACE, Typhoon HIL, or equivalent platforms.
Power-electronics modeling using PLECS, Simscape Electrical, Ansys, or equivalent tools.
Experience with FMU/FMI, co-simulation, reduced-order models, and automated model testing.
Automotive, electrified powertrain, electric pump, or mechatronic product experience.
Experience with Git-based model governance, requirements traceability, and Python or MATLAB automation.
Additional Information:
Compensation: $125,000 to $140,000 annually
