ROLE SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director, Project Management, the Project Manager is responsible for successfully delivering assigned projects while achieving profitability, schedule, quality and technical performance objectives, while proactively managing risks and opportunities.

The Project Manager coordinates internal and external stakeholders and ensures alignment between engineering, procurement, manufacturing and site activities throughout the project lifecycle.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Define project objectives, constraints, priorities and deliverables.
Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary teams within established budgets and schedules.
Ensure compliance with internal processes, project management tools and contractual requirements.
Monitor schedules, costs, invoicing and cash flow.
Organize and oversee site activities.
Coordinate subcontractors and contractors.
Manage client-related issues using a balanced relational, commercial and contractual approach.
Identify project risks and opportunities and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
Lead technical reviews and project follow-up meetings.
Act as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, engineering offices and internal teams.
Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using tools such as MS Project or Primavera.
Prepare progress reports and clearly communicate project performance, issues and priorities.
Collaborate closely with engineering, procurement, quality, manufacturing and site teams.

REQUIRED PROFILE

Minimum 5 years of experience managing complex projects, ideally in an industrial, manufacturing or technical environment.
Relevant experience in heavy industry, industrial machinery, mining, energy, industrial equipment, manufacturing or construction.
University degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, project management or another relevant field; a technical diploma combined with significant project management experience may also be considered.
Experience coordinating multidisciplinary teams, suppliers and subcontractors.
Strong communication, leadership, organization, negotiation, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Good understanding of contractual, financial, technical and operational aspects of project execution.
Knowledge of MS Project, Primavera or another project scheduling tool is an asset.
Experience in the hydroelectric industry is an asset but is not required.
Experience with large-scale, technically complex or contractually complex projects is an asset.
Bilingualism in French and English: strong English proficiency, both spoken and written, is essential for communication with clients and partners across Canada, the United States and Europe.
Required training, or willingness to obtain it based on job requirements: working at heights, confined spaces and ASP Construction certification.

WORK CONDITIONS

Permanent, full-time position, 40 hours per week.
Work location: Brossard, Quebec.
Hybrid work model according to company policy.

SOMMAIRE DU RÔLE

Sous la supervision du Directeur, Gestion de projets, le Gestionnaire de projets est responsable de mener à terme les projets qui lui sont confiés en atteignant les objectifs de rentabilité, d’échéancier, de qualité et de performance technique, tout en assurant une gestion proactive des risques et des opportunités.

La personne titulaire du poste coordonne les parties prenantes internes et externes et assure l’alignement des activités d’ingénierie, d’approvisionnement, de fabrication et de chantier tout au long du cycle de vie des projets.

RESPONSABILITÉS PRINCIPALES

Définir les objectifs, contraintes, priorités et livrables des projets.

Diriger et coordonner des équipes multidisciplinaires dans le respect des budgets et des échéanciers.

Assurer la conformité avec les processus internes, les outils de gestion et les exigences contractuelles.

Suivre les échéanciers, les coûts, la facturation et les flux de trésorerie.

Organiser et superviser les activités de chantier.

Coordonner les sous-traitants et entrepreneurs.

Gérer les enjeux clients avec une approche relationnelle, commerciale et contractuelle.

Identifier les risques et opportunités et mettre en œuvre les mesures d’atténuation appropriées.

Animer les revues techniques et les rencontres de suivi de projet.

Agir comme principal point de contact pour les clients, sous-traitants, bureaux d’ingénierie et équipes internes.

Élaborer et maintenir des échéanciers détaillés à l’aide d’outils tels que MS Project ou Primavera.

Préparer les rapports d’avancement et communiquer clairement la performance, les enjeux et les priorités.

Collaborer étroitement avec les équipes d’ingénierie, d’approvisionnement, de qualité, de fabrication et de chantier.

PROFIL RECHERCHÉ

Minimum de 5 ans d’expérience en gestion de projets complexes, idéalement dans un environnement industriel, manufacturier ou technique.

Expérience pertinente en industrie lourde, machinerie industrielle, mines, énergie, équipements industriels, fabrication ou construction.

Diplôme universitaire en génie mécanique, génie électrique, gestion de projets ou dans un domaine pertinent; une formation technique combinée à une expérience significative pourra également être considérée.

Expérience en coordination d’équipes multidisciplinaires, de fournisseurs et de sous-traitants.

Solides aptitudes en communication, leadership, organisation, négociation, résolution de problèmes et prise de décision.

Bonne compréhension des enjeux contractuels, financiers, techniques et opérationnels liés à l’exécution de projets.

Connaissance de MS Project, Primavera ou d’un autre outil de planification, un atout.

Expérience dans le secteur hydroélectrique, un atout, mais non requise.

Expérience avec des projets d’envergure ou à forte composante technique ou contractuelle, un atout.

Bilinguisme français/anglais : une excellente maîtrise de l’anglais, à l’oral comme à l’écrit, est essentielle pour communiquer avec des clients et partenaires situés dans d’autres provinces canadiennes, aux États-Unis et en Europe.

Formations requises ou à obtenir selon les besoins du poste : travaux en hauteur, espaces clos et carte ASP Construction.
