The Opportunity

We are seeking an ambitious and entrepreneurial lawyer to join our firm as a Junior Partner. This opportunity is suited to a professional who is ready to take an active role in serving clients, developing a practice, and contributing to the growth and strategic direction of a multidisciplinary firm.

The successful candidate will work closely with the firm’s leadership and colleagues across our legal and accounting practices. They will have the opportunity to build lasting client relationships, take ownership of matters, and help shape the future of the firm.

The partnership structure, responsibilities, and compensation will be discussed with the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft and review agreements, legal opinions, court documents, applications, and other client materials.
  • Conduct legal research and develop strategies based on applicable legislation, regulations, and case law.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, referral partners, and other professionals.
  • Collaborate with lawyers, accountants, and other team members to deliver integrated solutions.
  • Contribute to business development, practice growth, and the firm’s strategic initiatives.
  • Supervise or support junior team members and help strengthen the firm’s processes and service standards.
  • Manage files, deadlines, and client communications with professionalism and attention to detail.
Qualifications
  • Licensed and in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
  • Experience practising in one or more relevant areas, such as business and corporate law, immigration, litigation, real estate, or another complementary practice area.
  • Strong legal research, drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
  • Sound professional judgment and a commitment to ethical, confidential, and client-focused service.
  • Ability to manage files independently while working collaboratively across disciplines.
  • Interest in business development and building a long-term practice.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • An existing client base or referral network is an asset.
  • Fluency in additional languages is an asset.
