This is a hands-on executive role for a proven business development leader with a strong hunter mentality, a track record of winning new business and the ability to turn strategic opportunities into lasting customer partnerships. Initially focused on individual sales performance, the role offers the opportunity to build and lead a high-performing business development team as the company scales.

  • Translate customer requirements into tailored solutions by coordinating with internal design, estimating, manufacturing, project management and operations teams.
  • Develop opportunities beyond initial engagements, expanding successful projects into larger programs and enduring customer partnerships.
  • Maintain a robust pipeline of qualified opportunities, supported by accurate sales forecasts, performance tracking and regular reporting.
  • Apply a disciplined approach to CRM utilization, prospect management and follow-up to maintain momentum throughout the sales cycle.
  • Partner with account management and operational teams to ensure a smooth handoff from business development to implementation and ongoing customer support
  • Strengthen the company's market presence through effective customer engagement, industry networking and professional representation.
  • Provide market intelligence and customer insights to inform commercial priorities, refine go-to-market strategies and identify emerging growth opportunities.
  • Contribute to the evolution of the company's sales organization, with the potential to recruit, develop and lead a high-performing business development team as the business grows.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven track record of generating and closing new B2B business, with a strong hunter mentality and success in winning new customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships from the ground up, engage senior decision-makers and convert prospects into profitable business.
  • Strong consultative selling, prospecting, negotiation and closing skills, with experience managing complex, customized solutions and longer sales cycles.
  • Solid commercial acumen, including pricing, margin management, profitability and customer value creation.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, with the drive, resilience and autonomy to build a pipeline and deliver results.
  • Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills, combined with strong organizational abilities, disciplined CRM management and accurate sales forecasting.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across functions to develop tailored solutions and deliver on customer commitments.
  • Experience developing national accounts or serving multi-location customers is a strong asset.
  • Signage industry experience is not required; candidates with a background in complex, customized B2B sales across other industries are encouraged to apply.
  • Potential to grow into broader sales leadership, including team development and strategic commercial oversight, as the organization expands.
