  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or an electrical technologist diploma from an accredited college, or equivalent
  • Develops preliminary and detailed layouts of medium to complex cables, harnesses and cable run sheets for system-level architecture connectivity.
  • Resourceful/agreeable to enable strong vendor liaison/customer communications
  • Production and results-oriented self-starter Developing subject matter expert on cable assembly best practices
  • Provides conceptual design, drafting and/or technical support to project groups for new and existing equipment cables.

The Candidate Should Possess The Following Skills And Experiences

  • The design capability to develop cable/harness design solutions which meet specific design requirements
  • A working application knowledge of relevant interconnect design and fabrication standards
  • The ability to create power and system functional/block drawings and wiring diagrams
  • The ability to analyze/interpret schematic drawings, mechanical drawings and understanding part tolerances, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, standard industry symbols and drawing conventions to a level where the information provided is sufficient to construct the cable/harness or arrange the system
  • Support Production team during New Product Integration (NPI) stages
  • Create complex working cable drawings and interpret hardware design documents
