Original job description

Long View. A career that helps you get more out of life.

A Long View career helps you get more out of life. We don’t just say it, we prove it. Every day. We’re proud of our reputation as one of North America’s most dynamic IT providers - and we’re even prouder of our culture that allows our people to live life to its fullest. At Long View, we create an environment of collaboration and support, of innovation and enthusiasm, of inclusion and belonging. As a member of the Long View team, you’ll see how our company’s core pillars - Integrity, Competence, Value, and Fun - resonate through the workplace. And in a recent survey, 90% of Long View team members rated Long View as a good or great place to work!

Are you the person who loves bringing people together - while also being the welcoming face of an office?

We are looking for an experienced, people-focused Office Manager to lead the day-to-day workplace experience for our Edmonton branch. This visible and hands-on role combines office and facilities management, front-desk reception, event planning, health and safety, and branch administration.

As the first point of contact for employees, clients, vendors, and visitors, you will create a welcoming and professional first impression while ensuring the office runs smoothly. You will take ownership of workplace operations, events, vendor relationships, and branch initiatives that keep employees connected, safe, and supported.

\nA Day in the Life:

Oversee daily office operations and facilities, including reception, visitor experience, meeting spaces, maintenance, workplace moves, building access, parking, security, supplies, mail, couriers, and common areas
Manage relationships with building representatives, contractors, and vendors; coordinate services and repairs; monitor office expenses; and identify opportunities to improve the workplace
Plan and execute employee, client, and branch events from concept through completion, including venues, suppliers, catering, communications, logistics, and on-site coordination
Lead the branch’s Health, Safety and Environment Committee, coordinate inspections and internal audits, and support emergency preparedness and first-aid activities
Co-chair the branch Social Committee, helping plan and deliver inclusive activities that strengthen connection and engagement
Support employee onboarding, meeting coordination, branch communications, credit card reconciliation, expense reporting, and other administrative and operational needs

What You Bring:

Five or more years of progressive experience in office management, corporate services, facilities, hospitality, events, or a similar workplace operations role
Experience independently managing office operations, vendors, facilities, events, and competing priorities
Strong customer service, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills, with sound judgment and attention to detail
A professional and approachable style, with the confidence to work effectively with employees, clients, vendors, and senior leaders
Experience supporting workplace health and safety activities is an asset
A diploma or certificate in business administration, facilities management, hospitality, event management, health and safety, or a related field is an asset

Why Work at Long View?

Great people and culture
Flexible environment – A workplace that values the importance of flexibility for personal/professional growth, happiness and wellness
Fun is one of our core values

$52,900 - $63,000 a year

Expected salary range between $52,900 to $63,000 per annum.
