Tasks
- Plan or adjust routes based on changing conditions, using computer equipment, global positioning systems (GPS) equipment, or other navigation devices, to minimize fuel consumption and carbon emissions
- Address customers' complaints or concerns
- Professionalism in customer service
- Load and unload goods
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
- Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment
- Perform brake adjustments
- Perform emergency roadside repairs
- Perform pre-trip, en route and post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuel consumption
- Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo

Responsibilities
Plan and adjust routes, transport goods by operating straight or articulated trucks, and load and unload cargo. Inspect and maintain vehicle condition, perform brake adjustments and roadside repairs, document trips and cargo, and ensure cargo safety.
Requirements
A secondary school graduation certificate is listed, and experience is an asset. A Class 1/1F/A licence for semi-trailer trucks and an air brakes endorsement are required credentials.
