Role: Data Analyst – Toronto, ON

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst with strong business analysis, SQL, data modeling, and technical requirements experience. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of business requirements, data structures, system integrations, and Agile product delivery.

Must-Have Skills

6+ years of experience as a Data Analyst with strong business domain experience and exposure to client-facing products.
Strong SQL skills across both relational and non-relational database environments.
Ability to analyze business requirements and current-state processes and translate them into clear IT/technical requirements.
Hands-on knowledge of data modeling, schema structures, data mapping, and data transformation.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment.
Experience working in Agile / Iterative Delivery environments with multiple internal and external partners and technology vendors.
Strong communication, organization, stakeholder management, and people skills.
Ability to communicate and present effectively to senior management, executives, and project teams.
Experience managing multiple technical projects/workstreams simultaneously and working effectively in ambiguous situations.
High-level understanding of system architecture, technical dependencies, and integration points across services.
Working understanding of technical solution architecture from a product delivery perspective.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze business requirements and translate them into detailed IT requirements.
Analyze current-state systems, processes, and data flows to identify gaps and opportunities.
Develop and validate SQL queries across relational and non-relational databases.
Work with data models, schemas, mappings, and transformation requirements.
Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, product teams, and external vendors.
Support Agile/iterative delivery throughout the product lifecycle.
Identify technical dependencies and integration points across applications and services.
Manage multiple technical initiatives while maintaining priorities and delivery timelines.
Prepare and present analysis, requirements, and project updates to stakeholders and senior leadership.
Work closely with solution architects and technical teams to support product delivery.
