Job Title: Functional Tester

Location: Toronto, ON

Job Description:

  • Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories
  • Prepare and execute Functional System Integration and Regression test cases
  • Validate application functionality against business requirements
  • Identify, track, and verify defects
  • Collaborate with Business Analysts, Developers, and Product Owners to resolve issues
  • Support User Acceptance Testing UAT
  • Execute end-to-end testing and regression testing for releases and enhancements
  • Prepare test execution reports and communicate testing status to stakeholders
  • Ensure quality standards are met before deployment
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives

Requirements

Familiarity with JIRA, Azure DevOps, SDLC, and STLC is required; Agile Scrum, API testing, SQL, financial services experience, and test automation exposure are desirable.
