Role: Principal Azure Platform & Cloud Operations Architect (AKS / Networking / Automation)
Location: Toronto, ON
Opportunity Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Principal Azure Platform & Cloud Operations Architect to assess and improve how we run critical production systems on Azure. You will evaluate our current Cloud Operations processes and platform architecture, identify automation and improvement opportunities, implement stronger operational patterns, and act as the escalation SME when the team hits technical roadblocks - especially across AKS, networking, and deployments.
Key Skills:
- 12+ years in Cloud Platform Engineering / DevOps / SRE
- Strong hands-on Azure & AKS/Kubernetes experience
- Azure Networking – VNET, UDR, NSG, DNS, Private Endpoints, Firewalls
- Terraform / IaC
- Argo CD & Helm / GitOps
- Azure DevOps, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions
- Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights
- Python / Bash / PowerShell scripting
- Strong L3/L4 production troubleshooting and incident leadership experience

Responsibilities
Assess and improve Azure production operations and platform architecture by identifying automation opportunities and implementing stronger operational patterns. Serve as the escalation subject matter expert for technical issues, particularly involving AKS, networking, and deployments.
Requirements
Requires 12+ years of experience in cloud platform engineering, DevOps, or SRE, with strong hands-on Azure and AKS/Kubernetes expertise. Candidates should also have Azure networking, Terraform and IaC, GitOps and deployment tooling, monitoring, scripting, and advanced production troubleshooting and incident leadership experience.
