Location: Toronto 4 days a week on site / F2F interview with client
Job description:
Production support - Mainframe (NOT developer)
What you will do?
- Design, develop, test, deploy, support and evolve software to deliver banking services.
- Lead conversion, attestation and audit initiatives
- Manage individual priorities, deadlines and deliverables.
- Assess and analyze business and technical requirements in order to provide estimates and establish plans and timelines
- Create, update and contribute to critical documentation relevant to the projects
- Effectively communicate and build rapport with team members and various IT partners
- Available for after-hours production support when needed (rare)
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Completion of a post-secondary education
Production Support Experience with on call rotation.
- Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strong background in software Maintenance especially mainframe
- Expertise in COBOL, JCL, IMS (DB/Online/Batch), DB2, MQSeries, Git/Endevor and Zeke.
Nice-to-have
- Understanding/usage of z/OS Connect, IDz, zUnit and test automation
- Experience with CI/CD mainframe pipeline
