THE OPPORTUNITY

Reporting to the Brand Marketing Manager, the Marketing Coordinator will be a key support partner across the day-to-day execution of the Love Ur Curls brand. This role will work closely with the Brand Marketing Manager to help bring the brand strategy and marketing calendar to life across campaigns, product launches, retail and eCommerce initiatives, partnerships, events, activations, and day-to-day marketing execution.

This is a highly hands-on role for someone who enjoys both the creative and operational sides of marketing. You’ll help turn ideas into action, manage timelines and deliverables, coordinate internal teams and external partners, and make sure the details are taken care of so projects move forward smoothly.

The ideal candidate is proactive, resourceful and comfortable operating with ambiguity. You don’t need every step mapped out before getting started. You’re someone who sees what needs to be done, figures out how to do it, and takes ownership of getting it done.

You’ll collaborate closely with Marketing, Creative, Social, eCommerce, Sales, PR, and other cross-functional partners in a fast-moving environment where priorities evolve quickly and everyone rolls up their sleeves.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Brand & Marketing Support

  • Support the Brand Marketing Manager across the full breadth of day-to-day brand marketing activities, helping execute priorities across the annual marketing calendar.
  • Support the planning and execution of integrated marketing campaigns across digital, eCommerce, retail, social, email, partnerships, and other brand channels.
  • Take ownership of assigned marketing projects from brief through execution, ensuring timelines, deliverables, approvals, and stakeholders stay on track.
  • Support product launches, promotions, seasonal campaigns, and key brand initiatives from planning through execution.
  • Translate marketing objectives into clear action plans, timelines, workback schedules and project trackers.
  • Prepare campaign briefs, presentations, recaps, status updates, and supporting marketing materials.
  • Partner with Creative and Social teams to coordinate asset requirements, briefs, feedback and approvals, ensuring materials align with campaign objectives and brand standards.
  • Maintain marketing calendars, project trackers, campaign timelines, launch plans, and key deliverables.
  • Proactively identify next steps, follow up with stakeholders, and flag risks, delays, gaps, and outstanding requirements before they become issues.
  • Organize marketing assets, files, briefs, product information, campaign materials, and other resources so teams have what they need when they need it.

Events & Activations

  • Support the planning and execution of brand events, influencer events, pop-ups, activations, trade shows, launches, and other experiential initiatives.
  • Assist with event planning from concept through execution, including timelines, venue coordination, vendor management, guest lists, invitations, product, gifting, signage, collateral, staffing, logistics and run-of-show requirements.
  • Coordinate with external vendors, venues, agencies, creators, influencers and other partners to ensure event deliverables are completed accurately and on time.
  • Support on-site event execution, including set-up, breakdown, guest experience, product placement, gifting and troubleshooting as needed.
  • Help manage event-related budgets, quotes, invoices, purchase orders and expenses.
  • Prepare event briefs, checklists, timelines and post-event recaps.

Retail, Partnerships & Cross-Functional Support

  • Support retail and channel marketing initiatives, including product launches, promotions, merchandising materials, retailer-specific assets and other retail requirements.
  • Assist with influencer, creator, partnership, PR, community and brand activation initiatives.
  • Coordinate product samples, shipments, promotional materials, gifting, meetings, action items, vendor requirements and other marketing logistics as needed.
  • Support website updates, email campaigns, landing pages, promotions and product launches by coordinating assets and messaging.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure marketing initiatives are executed seamlessly across channels.

Planning, Reporting & Optimization

  • Conduct competitive research and stay informed on beauty, consumer, retail, social and digital marketing trends.
  • Track campaign performance, prepare marketing reports and post-campaign recaps, and identify learnings and opportunities for improvement.
  • Help identify opportunities to maximize existing marketing assets and resources across channels.
  • Help improve processes and find more efficient ways for the marketing team to operate.
  • Proactively identify challenges and gaps across projects and come forward with solutions, not just problems.

WHAT YOU BRING

  • 1–3 years of experience in marketing, brand marketing, digital marketing, eCommerce, or a related role.
  • A diploma or degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Experience supporting integrated marketing campaigns, product launches, promotions, events, retail initiatives, or other consumer-facing programs.
  • A strong ownership mentality. You take responsibility for your work, follow through on commitments, and don’t need to be constantly reminded about deadlines or next steps.
  • Highly proactive and self-directed. You can take a high-level objective and figure out the steps required to execute it.
  • Comfortable working with ambiguity and limited direction. You can make progress without needing every detail or decision handed to you.
  • Strong problem-solving and resourcefulness. When something doesn’t go according to plan, you look for solutions and keep the project moving.
  • Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects, deadlines and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to confidently follow up with stakeholders to keep projects moving.
  • Experience supporting events, activations or experiential marketing is a strong asset.
  • Working knowledge of digital marketing, social media, email, eCommerce, retail, and consumer marketing.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or Google Workspace; experience with Canva and project management tools is an asset.
  • Comfortable working with data, tracking results, and using performance insights to support decision-making.
  • Experience coordinating external vendors, agencies, freelancers, creators or partners is an asset.
  • Experience tracking budgets, invoices, quotes or project expenses is an asset.
  • Experience in beauty, CPG, retail, or eCommerce is a strong asset.
  • You bring creative ideas while remaining focused on execution, accuracy, timelines, and measurable results.
  • You are comfortable rolling up your sleeves and doing whatever is needed to get the job done, including hands-on support before, during and after events and activations.
  • You communicate clearly, collaborate generously, and know how to build strong working relationships across teams.
  • You are comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment where priorities can shift quickly and new projects can emerge.
  • You approach the work with passion, sound judgment, humility, curiosity, and a growth-oriented mindset.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

  • You are the right hand to the Brand Marketing Manager and can be trusted to help keep the brand’s priorities moving forward.
  • You’re the person who can be given a goal and figure out how to get there. You proactively identify next steps, build the timeline, coordinate the right people, follow up on deliverables, flag issues early and keep projects moving.
  • You’re highly organized without being rigid, creative without losing sight of execution, and comfortable switching between strategic thinking and hands-on tasks.
  • You’re equally comfortable coordinating a product launch, building a campaign tracker, chasing down creative approvals, organizing product shipments, preparing for an influencer event, or jumping in on-site to help execute an activation.
  • Most importantly, you’re resourceful and solutions-oriented. When something changes, a deadline moves, or there’s a problem you haven’t encountered before, your instinct is to figure it out.
