About The Opportunity
An international provider of specialized technology and infrastructure solutions is seeking a Senior Program Manager to join its growing regional team. Reporting to senior leadership within the Portfolio Management Office, the successful candidate will own the end-to-end delivery of large and complex, high-profile programs across North America, leading initiatives seamlessly from initial concept through execution and final closeout.
In this role, you will apply structured Waterfall methodologies and PMP principles to direct cross-functional software and delivery teams, strictly manage scope and requirements, align key stakeholders, and drive strategic regional expansion while ensuring projects land on time and on budget.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- End-to-End Program Oversight: Direct all phases of the project lifecycle from initiation to closure, taking full accountability for mobilization, schedule tracking, and quality delivery across major software and technical project portfolios
- Scope & Change Control: Drive rigorous requirements definition, baseline tracking, and formal change order management to actively mitigate scope creep while preserving project profitability
- Waterfall & Process Execution: Apply disciplined Waterfall methodologies and PMP standards to build robust project plans, critical path schedules, and risk management frameworks
- Customer & Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary senior lead for external customers, vendor partners, and client executives - building trusted relationships and negotiating variations to align with commercial objectives
- Bid & Commercial Leadership: Lead major proposal and bid activities, developing competitive, risk-balanced plans that encompass pricing strategies, schedule baselines, and resource allocations
- Financial & Risk Management: Establish and manage complex multi-million-dollar budgets, accurately forecast spend, track actuals, and execute quantitative and qualitative risk mitigation strategies
- Team Leadership & Governance: Direct, mentor, and inspire multidisciplinary teams of project managers and software professionals, ensuring compliance with corporate governance systems
About You The successful candidate will have the following:
- Experience: Extensive experience managing large and complex, end-to-end technical projects and portfolios - ideally within a software development, SaaS, or complex systems environment - with a proven track record of directly managing external clients
- Methodology & Certification: Mastery of Waterfall project management frameworks and core PMP principles. A relevant degree paired with PMP certification (or equivalent credentials such as APM-PPQ/MAPM or PRINCE2) is strongly preferred
- Scope & Requirements Expertise: Exceptional strength in detailed requirements gathering, baseline management, tracking scope creep, and successfully processing commercial change orders
- Contractual & Commercial Acumen: Deep understanding of complex goods and services contracts, commercial approval lifecycles, and aligning technical solutions with customer strategic drivers
- Skills: Sophisticated leadership, negotiation, and conflict-resolution capabilities with strong analytical reasoning and a resilient, customer-centric focus
- Travel & Flexibility: Ability to travel regionally and internationally as required, along with flexibility to coordinate across international time zones
About the Job
Salary is commensurate of experience, $140,000 to $160,000, and is in addition to RRSP-matching, discretionary bonus, a generous PTO and benefits package, etc.
