About The Opportunity

Take the lead on some of Ottawa’s most exciting construction projects! Parker Huggett is working with a well-established and growing national General Contractor to identify an experienced Senior Site Superintendent to join their Ottawa team.

Our client has built a strong reputation for delivering complex, high-profile construction projects across Canada. With a healthy pipeline of major projects in the Ottawa region, they are looking to strengthen their leadership team with a seasoned Superintendent who thrives on the challenge of delivering large-scale builds.

You'll have the support of an experienced management team, the resources to succeed, and the opportunity to play a key role in some of the region's most significant construction projects.

As a Senior Site Superintendent, you will take the lead on major ICI construction projects, overseeing all aspects of site operations from mobilization through to completion. You'll work closely with Project Managers, subcontractors, consultants, and clients to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest standards of quality.

Beyond managing the day-to-day operations, you'll be an important leader and mentor to the site team, helping develop the next generation of Superintendents while fostering a collaborative and results-driven site culture.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Lead and manage all on-site construction activities for large, complex ICI projects, typically valued at $100M+
• Oversee daily site operations, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project drawings, specifications, and contractual requirements
• Work closely with the Project Management team to develop and maintain construction schedules, coordinate trades, and keep projects moving forward
• Build and maintain strong working relationships with subcontractors, consultants, clients, and other project stakeholders
• Proactively identify and resolve construction challenges to minimize delays and maintain project momentum
• Champion a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with company policies and applicable health and safety regulations
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to Assistant Superintendents, Superintendents, and field personnel
• Maintain high standards of workmanship, quality control, and overall site organization
  
  

About You

If you're an experienced Site Superintendent who enjoys the challenge of leading major construction projects and is looking for an opportunity to take the next step in your career, we'd welcome a conversation.

The successful candidate will have the following:

• 10+ years of progressive site supervision experience with a General Contractor in the commercial, institutional, or industrial construction sector
• A proven track record of successfully delivering large, complex ICI construction projects, ideally in the $50M–$100M+ range
• Strong technical knowledge of construction methods, sequencing, drawings, specifications, and building systems
• Demonstrated ability to lead large site teams and effectively coordinate multiple subcontractors
• A proactive, solutions-oriented approach with the ability to anticipate challenges and make sound decisions
• Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills
• A genuine passion for construction and a commitment to delivering successful projects
• Experience with construction management software and Microsoft Office
• Bilingualism (English/French) would be considered an asset

Salary Range: $160,000 to $190,000 per year
