Job Title: Java Lead

Work Location: Ontario, Toronto, Canada (Hybrid)

Primary Skill

Java springboot struts Angular

Role Summary

• Strong expertise in Java 8 and Object-Oriented Programming
• Hands on experience in Struts 1x JSP EJB Hibernate and TopLink
• Deep knowledge of Spring Framework and Spring Boot
• Experience in Angular frontend frameworks
• Knowledge of HTML CSS JSON XSLT
• Strong experience in RESTful Services APIs and web services SOAP REST
• Proficiency in SQL Oracle or other RDBMS with ability to write and optimize queries
• Experience with Weblogic server configuration and deployment
• Strong debugging skills across multiple layers UI backend API database cache
• Handson experience using AIassisted development tools eg GitHub Copilot
• More on springboot however candidate should know struts well although hands on will be limited
• Java springboot Struts 70 of work and Angular would be 30 of work

• Insurance Domain knowledge
• Familiarity with fullstack troubleshooting across UI middleware and DB layers
• Understanding of programming best practices code quality and performance optimization
• Exposure to enterprise modernization or enhancement initiatives
• Strong foundation in data structures and algorithms

• Ability to work independently in an onsite environment with minimal supervision
