Description & Requirements

who we are

lululemon is an innovative performance apparel company for yoga, running, training, and other athletic pursuits. Setting the bar in technical fabrics and functional design, we create transformational products and experiences that support people in moving, growing, connecting, and being well. We owe our success to our innovative product, emphasis on stores, commitment to our people, and the incredible connections we make in every community we're in. As a company, we focus on creating positive change to build a healthier, thriving future. In particular, that includes creating an equitable, inclusive and growth-focused environment for our people.

About This Team

The Payroll & Operations Accounting team is significant to the Company by ensuring accurate accounting of payroll and operations for lululemon store support centre, retail stores and other locations globally. As an integral part of this team, you will work with multiple teams to ensure accuracy in payroll accounts and compliance with accounting standards and payroll regulations. You have a desire for continuous improvement and contributing to the success of the company.

Core Responsibilities

Prepare and post monthly payroll-related accruals, including wages, bonuses, and other payroll-related costs.
Manage the monthly accounting process for both North America and international payrolls, including preparing and uploading payroll GL files into Oracle EBS.
Perform monthly payroll general ledger reconciliations, investigate variances, and ensure balances are accurate and properly supported.
Partner with Payroll, FP&A, Compensation, and other cross-functional teams to review, analyze, and explain month-end results and variances.
Support internal and external audits, including responding to inquiries and preparing supporting documentation for quarterly and year-end reviews.
Participate in weekly team discussions focused on continuous improvement, automation, and process efficiencies across Payroll and Operations Accounting.
Prepare and maintain monthly Payroll KPI reporting, ensuring key metrics are accurate and delivered on time.
Support additional ad hoc accounting, analysis, and process improvement initiatives as business needs arise.

Qualifications

You are working toward a professional accounting designation, such as a CPA.
You have experience working with Oracle EBS and Power BI.
You have a solid understanding of North American payroll regulations, with exposure to international payroll considered an asset.
You have advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including hands-on experience with VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, SUMIF/SUMIFS, PivotTables, and data analysis.
You thrive in a collaborative team environment and enjoy partnering with others to solve problems and achieve shared goals.
You are a motivated, detail-oriented self-starter who can effectively prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
You have a continuous improvement mindset and enjoy finding better, smarter, and more efficient ways to improve systems, templates, reports, and processes.
You are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, balancing competing priorities while consistently meeting deadlines.
You are analytical and people-oriented, equally comfortable digging into the numbers and collaborating with cross-functional partners.

must haves

Acknowledge the presence of choice in every moment and take personal responsibility for your life.
Possess an entrepreneurial spirit and continuously innovate to achieve great results.
Communicate with honesty and kindness and create the space for others to do the same.
Lead with courage, knowing the possibility of greatness is bigger than the fear of failure.
Foster connection by putting people first and building trusting relationships.
Integrate fun and joy as a way of being and working, aka doesn’t take yourself too seriously.
