Original job description

LumApps is now more than just an Employee Experience Platform - it is an AI-powered Employee Hub that supports companies in their digital transformation of communication, collaboration, and engagement with their customers, partners, and above all their employees.

Our platform is a proven leader in this dynamic market with a truly unique vision and product. It has been deployed by Fortune 500 clients around the world and is delivering meaningful business benefits. LumApps is identified as a leader in Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Intranet Packaged Solutions as well as in Intranets Forrester Wave, and regularly selected for the French Tech Next40/120 program.

✨ In 2025, LumApps strengthened its leadership position by partnering with Beekeeper, a pioneer in frontline employee experience solutions. This strategic collaboration expands our reach and impact across all types of workers - from HQ to the frontline.

Our mission: To make people feel that they belong and have a purpose.

To create an environment where all employees are engaged and work together towards the same goal. Over 700 leading companies trust our solution to:

🎯 Improve the productivity of their teams with our AI-powered Collaborative Experience Platform integrated with both Google and Microsoft collaborative suites,

🎯 Transform employees into real ambassadors of their company,

🎯 Make employees more efficient and better connected to their peers and relevant information, regardless of their location, with the tools and information they need at their fingertips,

🎯 Help companies reduce turnover, accelerate employee onboarding, better collaborate and share knowledge, and even improve their customer experiences.

With a team of over 600 Lumies spread across 11 offices (Lyon, Paris, Lille, Sophia Antipolis, London, Barcelona, Hamburg, Austin, Tokyo, Zurich, Krakow), we support large enterprises all around the world. Over the past year, we have been driving an ambitious phase in our journey under the impulse of our new shareholder Bridgepoint, aimed at propelling us to become the clear leader in our market and shine worldwide in our industry. We are looking for individuals who are excited to actively participate in this transformation.

If these core values sound like you: "be bold, do amazing things", "say what you mean, do what you say", "one team, same mission", "always be evolving": apply now!

*The Enterprise AI Challenge*

While the market focuses on Generative AI prototypes, the true challenge for global enterprises lies in production and scale. Generic AI models often fail because they lack context and cannot securely access siloed enterprise data like ERPs, HRIS, or legacy systems.

LumApps AI is a high-velocity initiative focused on solving this "Last Mile Integration" problem. We are the bridge between our core platform and customer value. We don’t just license a platform; we deploy top engineering talent to the front lines to ensure AI becomes a secure, deeply integrated, and scalable force multiplier for the modern workforce.

*The Role*

As a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE), you are the "tip of the spear" for our most strategic initiative. You will solve hard technical truths on the ground, accelerating the adoption of our core AI technologies: Micro-Apps and Agents.

You will sit at the intersection of engineering and customer impact, navigating technical constraints to deploy live, ROI-generating AI Agents within rapid cycles. This is a rare opportunity to accelerate your career by working with senior leadership and opening doors toward future roles as an architect, tech lead, or product manager.

Candidates must be located in the Greater Toronto Area to be considered. The salary range associated with this position is $160K - $190K CAD.

*Missions*

Strategic Co-Innovation: Embed with customers to map complex data environments and identify high-friction business workflows, such as HR onboarding or IT support.
Rapid Prototyping & Delivery: Build proof-of-concept AI Agents and integrations using APIs, webhooks, and LLMs that plan, decide, and act within the LumApps ecosystem.
Enterprise Integration: Architect the middleware and custom connectors required to bridge LumApps with systems like SAP, Workday, or ServiceNow.
Field Feedback Loop: Act as the trailblazer for our Core R&D team. You will identify systemic integration patterns in the field and contribute code to harden and evolve our core platform, as well as abstract your custom solutions into scalable, repeatable "Industry Vertical Packs."

*Skills*

Bring 6+ years of engineering or technical deployment experience that includes customer-facing work
Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, with demonstrated excellence in analytical thinking and software development.
Get-it-done Mindset: A strong bias for action and the ability to self-prioritize in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
Full-Stack Fluency: Proficiency in Node.js, TypeScript, Java or Python. You should be comfortable with frontend frameworks like React and backend API design.
Innovation Curiosity: A passion for emerging tech, specifically Generative AI, RAG architecture, AI Frameworks and Agentic workflows.
Communication: Full professional proficiency in English to communicate clearly with engineers, product teams, and customers.
Availability to Travel: Willingness to travel for regular on-site workshops with customers across North America.

*Bonus Skills*

Consultant Mindset: Experience working directly with customers, understanding their needs and designing high-value solutions to fulfill their expectations
Agile Experience: Experience working in Scrum environments.
Security Knowledge: Understanding of enterprise identity frameworks like OICD, OAuth 2.0 or SAML.
Professional Fluency: Bilingual in English and French.
