Tasks
- Prepare estimates of labour and/or material costs
- Read blueprints, drawings and sketches to determine work requirements
- Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials
- Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
- Supervise other workers
- Maintain, repair and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants and other establishments
- Supervise apprentices and bench workers

Responsibilities
Estimate labour and material costs, interpret blueprints and sketches, and measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join construction materials. Install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware; supervise workers and apprentices; and maintain, repair, and renovate residences and other wooden structures.
Requirements
Requires a secondary school graduation certificate and 3 to less than 5 years of experience. The role is physically demanding and calls for reliability, teamwork, and willingness to relocate.
