We're looking for a Salesforce Architect to own the architecture of Lyft's commercial platform as it grows through acquisition. Reporting to the Manager, Sales Technology, you will define the target-state architecture across our Salesforce orgs, lead the consolidation of acquired-company CRM environments into Lyft's platform, and decide where data is unified versus federated. You'll work directly with Sales, RevOps, Marketing, Finance, Data, Privacy, and Legal partners to turn a reactive delivery function into a business enabler.

Responsibilities:

Drive enterprise wide programs articulating program/project strategies on enabling technologies leveraging the Salesforce Platform.
Identify and drive the Lyft’s organizational needs for Salesforce foundations, define the business or technology architecture, plan how large projects will be delivered, oversee the solution design and implementation.
Effectively drive user experience and design strategies across Enterprise for platform adoption.
Advise and mentor diverse teams and product groups on resources in technical and functional delivery aspects at a program level, using influence and adaptive communication strategies.
Lead large cross-team system design discussions, offering alternate choices, trade-offs, and impact analysis with a focus on long-term solutions.
Provide guidance on application and integration development best practices, Enterprise Architecture standards, and functional/technical solution architecture, including environment management, testing of the Salesforce Platform.
Provide evidence-based design patterns for development of solutions on the Salesforce platform such as managed vs unmanaged packages, config vs low-code vs code, custom build vs native/appExchange offerrings.
Drive the adoption of best engineering development practices across multiple Salesforce Orgs and promote the creation of application and technical design documents that align with Salesforce best practices and seamless integration into Lyft's infrastructure.
Possess deep understanding of native Salesforce features and functionality, as well as the ability to model a role hierarchy, data model, and appropriate sharing mechanisms.
Identify and lead internal strategic initiatives to grow the salesforce adoption and return on investment and serve as an active contributor to engineering.
Identification and proactive management of risk areas across enterprise and commitment to seeing an issue through to complete resolution.
Lead assessment of architecture environment and requirements and design sound, scalable, and high-performing solutions on the Salesforce Platform that meet the Single Sign-on (SSO) requirements.
Lead the technical integration of acquired companies' CRM and GTM systems, including org strategy (consolidate vs. federate), data migration, deduplication and identity resolution, object and picklist harmonization, and decommissioning of legacy orgs.
Define and maintain the multi-org architecture and data model, including cross-org reporting, shared reference data, and territory/hierarchy design that survives each acquisition.
Own the integration architecture connecting Salesforce to middleware (Boomi, Workato) and the wider GTM stack, and re-platform acquired companies' equivalents onto Lyft standards.
Partner with Privacy, Legal, and Security on data residency, retention, and subject-rights requirements as newly acquired entities bring additional countries into scope.

Experience:

8+ years building enterprise solutions on Salesforce, including hands-on work with the SOAP/REST, Bulk, Pub/Sub, Tooling, and Metadata APIs
Salesforce Certified Application Architect and System Architect
Experience owning architecture across multiple Salesforce orgs, including at least one org consolidation, migration, or merge
Strong integration experience with Boomi, Workato, MuleSoft, or comparable middleware
Data management depth: SQL/RDBMS, structured and unstructured stores, large-scale data migration and matching/dedupe
CI/CD on the Salesforce platform (Copado, Gearset, AutoRABIT, or similar)
Experience transitioning Salesforce processes into agentic AI solutions
Preferred:
- Experience with Salesforce Data 360 (formerly Data Cloud) for unifying or federating customer data across multiple orgs or acquired entities - zero-copy federation, harmonization to a canonical model, and identity resolution
- Salesforce Certified Technical Architect
- M&A carve-out or post-merger integration experience in a GTM/commercial systems context
- Experience leading implementations across multiple countries with differing data-protection requirements
- Familiarity with Tableau, Agentforce, or GenAI/agentic tooling on the platform

The expected base pay range for this position in the Toronto area is CAD $129,000 - CAD $161,250, not inclusive of potential equity offering, bonus or benefits. Salary ranges are dependent on a variety of factors, including qualifications, experience and geographic location.
