Original job description
Mandate Overview:
- The analyst joins an existing team that maintains and evolves the application portfolio of L'Unique, a property and casualty insurance brand distributed through brokers. The work starts from an existing system to unpack: the person must reconstruct how it actually works from scattered sources, then translate it into business rules and functional documentation developers can use. The client stresses autonomy, with ownership of files under limited supervision. The role goes beyond pure analysis: production support and test preparation and execution are part of daily work, hence the versatility requirement. Property and casualty insurance knowledge is required, while knowledge of the broker distribution model is presented as a significant advantage.
- Target candidate: a senior functional analyst who has already documented business rules on in-house systems, ideally in property and casualty insurance, and who is willing to also handle production support and test execution. We are looking for someone who investigates an existing system independently, not an analyst who waits for requirements defined by the business.
Requirements
Required:
- Significant experience as a senior functional analyst
- In-house (internally developed) system environments, "ideally"
- Analysis, investigation and research skills
- Property and casualty insurance knowledge
- Writing functional documentation, business rules, impact analysis, test plans and scenarios
- Production support and participation in test execution (versatile profile)
Asset:
- Experience with an insurer using a broker network or within the brokerage ecosystem
- Jira, SQL and Confluence
- Guidewire product knowledge
