  1. Minimum 5 years of experience performing quality assurance and testing activities within Agile, Hybrid, and Waterfall SDLC environments.
  2. Experience testing cloud-based applications developed using Java technologies, JSON, RESTful Web Services, and HTML5
  3. Proven experience developing and executing test strategies, test plans, test cases and test scripts, test execution and reporting artifacts.
  4. Experience identifying, documenting, tracking, and managing software defects throughout the testing lifecycle.
  5. Demonstrated ability to validate business and technical requirements, support debugging activities, and contribute to overall software quality and usability.
  6. Experience conducting accessibility testing in compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), including the use of accessibility testing tools.
  7. Working knowledge of quality assurance and testing tools, including Azure DevOps and Postman
  8. Demonstrated understanding of privacy, security, and confidentiality requirements and compliance with Ontario Public Service (OPS) and Information & Information Technology Strategy (I&ITS) policies, standards, directives, and governance requirements

Responsibilities

The specialist is responsible for developing and executing comprehensive test strategies, plans, and scripts to ensure software quality. They will identify and manage software defects while validating business and technical requirements across various SDLC environments.

Requirements

Requires a minimum of 5 years of QA experience with expertise in Java technologies, RESTful services, and accessibility testing (AODA). Proficiency with Azure DevOps and Postman, along with knowledge of Ontario Public Service policies, is required.
