Requirement

Data engineering Tech Lead who has led developers on Azure ingestion pipelines (Data Factory, Data Lake, Synapse, Azure SQL) in large organizations, and still codes daily. Their practice includes TDD, automated testing and continuous integration, and they can propose refactoring fixes to peers with tact.

Requirements

  • Working within standardized processes

  • Functional knowledge
  • Relational and dimensional models
  • Unit testing (TDD), UI testing, automated testing, continuous integration

  • Azure data storage (Data Storage, Data Lake, Blob Storage, Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Synapse Analytics, Flyway)
  • Power BI (Desktop, Service, components including gateway)
  • Architecture patterns: object-oriented, cloud (IaaS, CaaS, PaaS, SaaS, iPaaS), application resilience, event-driven

Responsibilities

Lead developers building Azure data ingestion pipelines in large organizations while remaining hands-on with daily coding. Promote testing and continuous integration practices, and tactfully recommend refactoring improvements to peers.

Requirements

Requires hands-on data engineering experience in large organizations, strong ETL knowledge, and functional understanding of data projects and relational and dimensional models. Candidates should be experienced with standardized processes, testing and CI, source control and deployment tools, Azure data services, Power BI, and cloud and application architecture patterns.
