Original job description
The client is looking for a BSA who translates claims needs into deliverables that Guidewire ClaimCenter development teams can act on. The "systems" component rests on the requirement for advanced knowledge of application integration, which sets the role apart from a process-only business analyst. The threshold is high and cumulative: 8 years in analysis, including 5 as a BSA on ClaimCenter, Guidewire ACE certification and property and casualty insurance experience. The role covers the full delivery cycle, through functional testing, UAT and production support when needed. The description allows other combinations of education and experience, which relaxes the degree without affecting the other thresholds.
Candidate sought : an ACE-certified BSA with at least 5 years of ClaimCenter projects in property and casualty insurance, able to write user stories, business rules and impact analyses, and to work with architects on REST/SOAP integration flows. Their resume shows involvement in testing and UAT in an Agile context.
Key Requirements:
- Business systems analysis (BSA) on Guidewire ClaimCenter
- Property and casualty insurance experience
- Gathering, analyzing and documenting business and functional
requirements
- Writing user stories, functional specifications, business
rules and impact analyses
- Agile project delivery, preparation and execution of
functional and user acceptance testing
- Advanced knowledge of application integration (REST/SOAP,
XML, JSON)
- Advanced knowledge of property and casualty insurance
business processes
Requirements
PREFERRED
- Underwriting, billing or claims processes in property and
casualty insurance
- Collaboration and management tools (JIRA, Confluence, Visio,
Microsoft Office suite)
Profiles to Exclude:
- Guidewire profile limited to PolicyCenter or BillingCenter,
with no ClaimCenter project on the resume.
- Guidewire configurator or developer profile with no
demonstrated responsibility for gathering and documenting requirements.
- Business analyst whose insurance experience is limited to
life and health insurance or banking, with no property and casualty engagement.
- Analyst with no demonstrated exposure to integrations (REST
or SOAP APIs, XML or JSON exchanges).
- QA profile whose testing experience comes with no
requirements or user story writing.
