Scope:
- The Software Developer supports the delivery of assigned
enhancements of the Office of the Public Guardian and Trustee (OPGT)
Modernization program, including functionality intentionally sequenced beyond
the Minimum Viable Product (MVP).
- Working as part of an integrated support and data/reporting
team, comprising of internal and vendor resources, the role is responsible for
implementing configurations, customizations, and integrations within Microsoft
Dynamics 365 and supporting systems with a focus on reporting from Dynamics 365
Data in PowerBI
Assignment Deliverables:
- As a member of the PGTIMS Support and data team, you will be
responsible for translating technical system specifications to
implementation
- Resolving and troubleshooting technical problems which arise
during the use and operation of Microsoft Dynamics 365’s Client Experience
(CE). This will include technical assistance in the implementation and
anticipated future releases of solution design.
- Reporting and Visualization: develop reports, dashboards and
visualizations per user requirements.
- Data analysis: analyze and interpret complex data sets to
provide valuable insights into business performance and trends.
- Data accuracy: Ensure the quality, accuracy and integrity of
reports.
- Support system, integration, and user acceptance testing by
resolving defects, validating data accuracy, and addressing technical issues.
- Participate in deployment activities and provide technical
support during post go live stabilization to ensure solution reliability.
- Contribute to technical documentation and provide knowledge
transfer to support ongoing operations and long term solution sustainability.

- You will also be required to:
- Complete work and achieve milestones within the assigned
deadlines.
- Notify the Cluster/Ministry project Manager in writing of
any issues or other material concerns related to the Assignment Deliverables,
as soon as he/she becomes aware of them
- Submit Deliverables for the Cluster/Ministry approval as
they are completed.

architecture/technology standards and best practices

Requirements
Experience and Skill Set Requirements:
Must Haves:
- 5+ years of experience developing and supporting enterprise
applications, including Microsoft Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE).
- Power BI: Proficiency in Power BI, including data modeling,
creating interactive reports and dashboards and utilizing advanced features.
- Proven experience producing reports from data from Dynamics
365 Customer Experience (CE) and Finance (F&O).
- Experience developing, configuring, and extending Microsoft
Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CE) solutions.
- Power BI: Proficiency in Power BI, including data modeling,
creating interactive reports and dashboards, configuring data gateways, and
utilizing advanced features such as DAX and Power Query.
- SQL and Query Optimization: Strong SQL skills for writing
complex queries, optimizing database performance, and troubleshooting query
performance issues. Understanding of indexing, partitioning, and query
execution plans.
- Development experience with Dynamics 365 and understanding
of the Common Data Model for Dynamics.
- Report development experience for Microsoft Dynamics 365
Customer Engagement (CE) and/or Finance and Operations (F&O)
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Azure
Repos) and collaboration tools (e.g., Azure DevOps) for managing code, tracking
changes, and collaborating with team members.
Nice to have:

- Experience implementing Dynamics 365 CE configurations and
customizations, such as:
- forms, views, and dashboards
- workflows, business rules, and process automation
- security roles and data access configurations
- Development of custom components, plug ins, or extensions
within Dynamics 365 CE using appropriate technologies, such as:
- Practical experience working with the Dynamics 365 platform
and Dataverse, including:
- entity structure and relationships
- data handling, validation, and integrity
- platform extensibility capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to translate approved technical designs
and user stories into functional, tested solution components in alignment with
established architecture, security, and development standards.
- Proven experience producing reports from data from Dynamics
365 Customer Experience (CE) and Finance (F&O).
Power BI:
- Demonstrated experience working Power BI, creating
interactive reports and dashboards, configuring data gateways, utilizing
advanced features such as DAX and Power Query.
Data Integration and Extraction:
- Demonstrated knowledge of various data integration
techniques, including data extraction from different sources (e.g., databases,
APIs, flat files), data transformation, and loading into a data
warehouse.
- Familiarity with ETL tools and technologies, such as Azure
Synapse
- Proficiency in designing logical and physical data models,
understanding relationships, defining hierarchies, and ensuring efficient data
storage and retrieval.
Development Practices, Collaboration & Standards Adherence:
Demonstrated experience working within structured enterprise delivery environments, adhering to established development practices,
standards, and collaborative team models, including:
- Experience following approved architecture, coding, and
security standards when implementing solution components, rather than defining
those standards.
- Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices in enterprise
environments, such as:
- participating in build and release pipelines
- using version control systems
- supporting automated deployment or testing processes
- Experience working collaboratively within cross functional
delivery teams, including:
- developers, solution architects, business analysts, and
testers
- internal staff and external/vendor resources
- Ability to contribute effectively within iterative or

Data Warehouse/Lakehouse:
- Demonstrated experience developing reports in a Data
Warehouse/ Lakehouse.
- Data Warehouse/Lakehouse Concepts: Strong understanding of
data warehousing principles, including data modeling, ETL processes, data
integration, and data governance.
