Original job description

Keep Canada's most awarded single malt moving. We're looking for a Sales Operations Manager to own the listings, orders and inventory that get every bottle from our still to the shelf.

About the role

You'll make sure every bottle that leaves our distillery is listed, priced, registered, shipped and counted correctly. You sit between sales, production and the provincial liquor boards, and you own listings, orders, inventory and reporting from start to finish. You report directly to our CEO and lead our Sales Operations Associate.

Who you are

You love being organized. You keep a list, work the list, and end the week with every order shipped and every count matching.

You like having a hand in both production and sales, and being the person who connects the two.

You enjoy systems. A clean tracker and a process that runs the same way every time make your day, and when something breaks, you fix the process behind it.

You stay calm when a listing deadline, a big order and event samples all land in the same week, because you planned for it.

You keep everyone in the loop, from liquor boards to our production team, before they have to ask.

You care about the product and want to help a Sales Operations Associate grow alongside you.

What you'll do

  • Own every product listing, government (BCLDB, LCBO, SAQ, AGLC, NSLC, NLC) and private, and keep a listing tracker leadership can read at any time
  • Submit registrations, renewals, pricing and SKU changes before each board's deadline
  • Run wholesale and online orders on Shopify and Liquify, from invoice and Doc 60 to shipment
  • Keep inventory accurate in Purtrak, run monthly counts and hold variance under 2%
  • Coordinate bottling and packaging schedules with production and forecast what we need
  • Arrange samples and logistics for tastings, shows and events
  • Deliver a weekly sales and performance report to leadership
  • Lead, train and support our Sales Operations Associate
  • Support US shipments and paperwork with our importer as needed

What you bring

  • 3 to 5 years in sales operations, fulfillment or inventory management (consumer goods or alcohol preferred)
  • Knowledge of Canadian liquor board systems and listing processes
  • Confident with Shopify, spreadsheets and inventory systems
  • Detail minded and comfortable working to clear targets
  • Experience leading or training others
  • Full time, in person at the distillery. You live on Vancouver Island, within about 50 km of Saanich
  • Legally able to work in Canada

Nice to have

  • Export or US shipping experience
  • Experience with Purtrak, Liquify or QuickBooks
  • Wine & Spirit Education Trust or other spirits or supply chain certification
  • A valid driver's licence

What we offer

  • CA$65,000 per year salary
  • Canada Life medical, dental and vision benefits
  • Paid vacation and sick days
  • Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) participation
  • Staff discount and real whisky education
  • A direct line to the CEO and clear steps to grow your role and your pay
