POSITION: Sales Manager

LOCATION: Burlington, ON | Fully Onsite

MacDonald Search Group is a national permanent placement recruitment firm and we recruit on behalf of hiring organizations across Canada.

Our client is a growing and highly respected industrial solutions company that is looking to add a dynamic Sales Manager to its leadership team. This is not a role for someone who simply wants to manage from behind a desk. The organization is seeking a true business builder. This role will lead both inside and outside sales teams while partnering closely with ownership and senior leadership to elevate sales processes, strengthen customer relationships, and support long-term expansion across technical products and service solutions.

Duties:

Lead, mentor, and develop inside and outside sales teams across day-to-day operations and long-term performance growth.
Build greater structure, consistency, and accountability across the sales process and customer lifecycle.
Establish sales goals, KPIs, forecasting tools, and reporting metrics to support strategic decision-making.
Analyze pipeline activity and sales performance data to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Partner with senior leadership on pricing strategy, market positioning, customer growth, and business development initiatives.
Participate in customer meetings, presentations, and site visits to strengthen relationships and support key opportunities.
Foster a high-performance culture focused on teamwork, responsiveness, customer service, and continuous improvement.
Support recruiting, onboarding, coaching, and professional development of team members.
Work cross-functionally with operations, engineering, service, and leadership teams to ensure strong execution and customer success.
Oversee CRM utilization, sales forecasting, budgeting, and pipeline management processes.

Requirements:

Proven sales leadership experience within industrial products, engineered equipment, manufacturing, technical services, or related sectors - previous people leadership of salespeople is mandatory.
Strong leadership capabilities with the ability to motivate, coach, and hold teams accountable.
Highly analytical mindset with experience using data and metrics to improve sales effectiveness and operational structure.
Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on leadership and execution.
Experience managing CRM systems, sales forecasting, budgeting, and KPI reporting.
Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
Comfortable traveling regularly for customer meetings and business development activity.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel internationally when required.
