Within our consult business we harness our unique combination of leading-edge practical expertise and project delivery consultancy to unlock the potential in every project.

The Project: Mace is looking for talented construction managers for the following roles - Operations Director, Associate Director, and Senior Manager, to join multidisciplinary projects in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Whether you are a Mace colleague ready for a new challenge or know an external candidate looking to advance their career, this is an opportunity to bring your expertise and support to multidisciplinary project teams in one of Canada’s most dynamic cities.

Vancouver offers a rare combination of urban energy and access to nature. Its mild West Coast climate supports an active, year-round lifestyle, while the Pacific Ocean, city beaches and the nearby North Shore mountains are woven into everyday life. Whistler and the Sea-to-Sky corridor offer outstanding skiing, hiking and mountain scenery, with the wider landscapes of British Columbia and the Canadian Rockies providing even more opportunities for weekend and longer adventures. Add vibrant neighborhoods, diverse food and culture, waterfront parks and extensive outdoor recreation, and Vancouver is an appealing place to build both a career and a life.

Lead electrical construction activities across major infrastructure work packages
Manage and coordinate electrical contractors and specialist subcontractors
Oversee installation, testing, commissioning and handover activities
Coordinate electrical works with civil, structural, mechanical and systems teams
Monitor construction progress against programme and identify delivery risks
Review construction methodologies, sequencing and work plans
Manage interfaces between design, procurement and site construction
Ensure works meet project quality, safety and technical requirements
Lead resolution of site-based technical and constructability issues
Support inspections, commissioning, completion and project handover

You’ll Need To Have:

Extensive electrical construction management experience on major infrastructure or heavy civil projects
Strong knowledge of electrical installation, testing and commissioning
Experience managing major contractors and complex construction packages
Proven ability to coordinate electrical works within multidisciplinary civil engineering environments
Strong understanding of construction sequencing, interfaces and site logistics
Experience operating within demanding safety-critical construction environments
Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder-management skills
Ability to drive delivery while maintaining high standards of safety and quality
Canadian infrastructure experience would be advantageous but is not essential
