Positions and Shifts: Multiple Positions on Afternoon Shift: Monday through Thursday, 3:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. Responsibilities: The responsibilities for the rewarding position of CNC Lathe Hand at Ben Machine Products will include the following:
Salary: $22 - $30 per hour
- Set-up and operate CNC turning centres with live tooling.
- Use appropriate tools, fixtures and indicators to set up the machine.
- Load, unload, change and modify programs as required.
- Change and set cutting tools.
- Modify and grind tools as required.
- Adjust feeds and speeds for maximum efficiency.
- Operate the machine with all safety precautions in place.
- Deburr and prepare parts for loading and after unloading.
- Measure and inspect parts to ensure dimensions are within tolerance.
- Read and interpret blue prints.
- Understand geometric dimensioning and tolerancing.
- All other duties as assigned.
- 5+ years' experience required.
- Certificate, college degree or other training in CNC turning an asset.
- Fanuc or Haas experience a must.
- Familiarity with Mastercam preferred.
- Previous aerospace experience preferred.
- Previous job shop experience preferred.

Responsibilities
Set up and operate CNC turning centres with live tooling, including loading and modifying programs, setting and adjusting cutting tools, and optimizing feeds and speeds. Deburr, prepare, measure, and inspect parts to ensure they meet specifications, while following safety procedures and interpreting blueprints and geometric tolerancing requirements.
Requirements
Candidates must have at least five years of experience and must have Fanuc or Haas experience. CNC turning education or training is an asset; Mastercam familiarity, aerospace experience, and job shop experience are preferred.
