Original job description
Content Creator Intern
Location: Remote
Type: Internship (full-time and part-time available)
About magpylabs
magpylabs helps people keep up with the creators, brands, and products they care about by monitoring social media activity across platforms and turning the noise into clear, timely insights. Instead of scrolling endlessly, our users get the updates that actually matter to them.
We're an early-stage team, which means the person in this role won't be running someone else's playbook - you'll help figure out how we show up, sound, and grow an audience for something genuinely useful.
> Please note: This is an unpaid, part-time internship aimed at students and early-career creators who want to build their portfolio, get genuine hands-on reps, and work shoulder-to-shoulder with a startup team.
What you'll do
Create short-form video, graphics, and other content that grows our audience and sounds like us - clear, useful, not salesy.
Own a content calendar across our social channels and keep a steady, consistent presence.
Turn product ideas, features, and user stories into content people actually want to watch and share.
Jump on trends, formats, and platform shifts fast - and figure out how magpylabs fits them.
Track what drives real growth: views, engagement, follows, and sign-ups, and use it to decide what to make next.
Experiment, measure, and iterate - we'd rather try things than overthink them.
## What we're looking for
Currently studying Marketing, Communications, Media, Film, Design, or something related - or just genuinely into making content.
A creator at heart, with a feel for what makes short-form content land and grow an audience.
Comfortable shooting and editing short-form video (Reels, TikTok, Shorts) and putting together clean visuals.
Bonus: any experience with design tools (Canva/Figma), analytics, email, or building a following of your own.
Clear communicator who's happy collaborating in a fast-moving, figure-it-out-as-we-go environment.
## What you'll gain
Hands-on experience growing an audience for a real early-stage product.
A genuine voice in how we grow, and the satisfaction of seeing your ideas go live.
Mentorship and close collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
Portfolio pieces - content and campaigns with actual results behind them.
A reference and recommendation on successful completion of the internship.
If you like the idea of building an audience for something genuinely useful - and want startup experience where your work matters - we'd love to hear from you.
