Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role for a Senior Estimator at Main Beam Fabrication Ltd., located in Grande Prairie, AB. The Senior Estimator will be responsible for preparing cost estimates, analyzing project requirements, determining materials, labor, and timelines, and providing detailed and accurate quotes for construction and fabrication projects. The role requires close collaboration with project managers, clients, and suppliers to ensure project specifications and budgets are met. Additional duties include monitoring industry trends and market pricing to remain competitive.
Qualifications- Strong knowledge and experience in Estimation, Cost Analysis, and Project Bidding
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications
- Familiarity with construction materials, fabrication processes, and industry best practices
- Experience with Estimation Software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work effectively in a team and coordinate with stakeholders
- Relevant certifications or a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is an asset
- Prior experience in the steel fabrication or construction industry is highly desirable
