Original job description

Your new company

Foresight Recruitment Group has been retained by Mainline Living & Traine Construction & Development to recruit an experienced People & Culture Manager to join their growing team in Kelowna, BC.

With over 25 years of experience developing, building, and managing multi-family residential communities across Canada, this is an opportunity to join an established, entrepreneurial organization with a strong pipeline of future developments and continued growth across its property management portfolio.

This is a key hire for the business, offering the opportunity to have a genuine impact on company culture, employee engagement, and the future development of its people.

Your new role

Reporting directly to the Vice President of People & Business Services, you will oversee the People & Culture function across both Mainline Living and Traine Construction & Development, providing leadership to a small HR team while partnering closely with senior stakeholders across the business.

This is not your typical HR Manager position. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the employee experience, driving learning and development initiatives, strengthening leadership capabilities, and supporting the organization's wider recruitment and workforce strategy.

A significant part of your role will involve building relationships, understanding the different cultures across the business, and identifying opportunities to improve existing systems and processes. You will also lead initiatives around policy development, digital transformation, and the use of technology and AI to drive efficiencies.

This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys taking ownership, challenging the status quo, and turning ideas into tangible results.

What you'll need to succeed

To be considered for this opportunity, you must bring a minimum of 5–7 years of progressive HR / People & Culture experience, including previous experience within the property management industry.

A CPHR designation is expected, alongside experience supporting multi-site operations, employee relations, leadership development, and organizational change.

You will be a confident communicator and natural relationship builder, comfortable working directly with senior leadership and navigating different personalities and workplace cultures.

Above all, we're looking for someone who is proactive, commercially minded, and capable of working independently. Someone who can see the bigger picture but isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and get the work done.

What you'll get in return

A competitive starting salary of $100,000–$120,000, plus a performance bonus of up to 12%, 3 weeks' vacation, and a comprehensive employer-supported health and dental benefits package.

Additional perks include professional development opportunities, potential investment opportunities in real estate projects, project-based bonuses, and involvement in charitable initiatives.

You'll be joining an entrepreneurial ownership and leadership team that values new ideas, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Most importantly, this is an opportunity to make the role your own, with genuine long-term career progression towards a Senior Manager or Director-level position as the business continues to grow.

The position is primarily office-based in Kelowna, with some flexibility available once established in the role.
