JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION TITLE: Customer Service Representative

JOB TYPE: Full-time / Salary / Comp $50k minimum (increases based on experience/fit)

REPORTS TO: VP of Sales

START DATE: October/November 2026

Establish, develop, and maintain business relationships with current and prospective customers;
Address all customer issues to ensure customer satisfaction. Escalate as required;
Stay abreast of the industry developments and their impact on the organization’s competitiveness and product offerings;
Receive customer orders via phone & email
Provide timely and efficient service to customers, suppliers and sales team. Responding to inquiries, problems and delivery schedules requests from customers.
Interact with delivery drivers, direct drivers to product location for loading/unloading.
Maintain customer relationships through handling customer complaints by; Trouble shooting all customer related service issues and providing an optimal resolution to satisfy the customers’ needs, documenting all complaints and forwarding them to various departments for further resolutions.
Supports other team members to complete daily transactions.
Partake in Continuous Improvement projects
Generate process and ERP/CRM improvements
Actively participate in trade shows, training seminars, and conventions.
Support Account Managers with day to day customer related inquiries and documentation request
Run reports for Sales / Mgmt team as required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Post-secondary degree in a related field or equivalent work experience;
1-3 years in customer facing role; food industry related experience preferred
Solid knowledge of MS Office (Excel especially) is required; quick learner
CRM / ERP system as Microsoft Dynamics Business Central
High level of phone etiquette

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS

Exceptional organizational skills are a must;

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral;

Exceptional interpersonal skills; Results-driven; team player

Proficient Computer skills and ability to multi-task

Excellent Customer Service skills

Has the ability to demonstrate leadership, can take ownership of tasks and make decisions, takes initiative and is self-motivated

Must have the ability to work well within a team environment

Demonstrated aptitude for problem-solving;

Able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, and resolve discrepancies in a reasonable amount of time.
