We're partnering with a global leader in automotive safety systems to recruit a Process Engineer for their Collingwood, ON facility.

This isn't a replacement position.

What You'll Be Working On

Leading Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement initiatives across the operation

Analyzing operational performance and identifying opportunities to improve productivity, quality, efficiency, and throughput

Developing, implementing, and monitoring KPIs that drive operational effectiveness and business results

Partnering with associates and leadership teams to build KPI ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement mindsets

Conducting root cause investigations and implementing sustainable corrective actions

Evaluating equipment, materials, workflows, and manufacturing processes to reduce waste and improve performance

Collaborating with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and other cross-functional teams to support operational objectives

Designing and delivering training programs that strengthen employee capabilities and reinforce a culture of continuous improvement

Monitoring project performance, measuring results, and communicating progress and key metrics to leadership

Requirements

✔ Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline

✔ Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

✔ Demonstrated success leading Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Continuous Improvement, and process improvement initiatives

✔ Experience developing, implementing, and measuring operational KPIs

✔ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills

✔ Experience working cross-functionally with Production, Quality, Maintenance, and Operations teams

✔ Excellent communication skills with the ability to coach, train, and influence stakeholders at all levels

✔ Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment

✔ Professional proficiency in English

✔ Spanish language skills considered an asset

✔ Willingness to travel as required

Responsibilities

Lead Lean, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives, analyzing manufacturing performance and implementing KPIs and sustainable corrective actions to improve productivity, quality, efficiency, and throughput. Collaborate with operations teams to build accountability, deliver training, evaluate processes and equipment, and report project results and metrics to leadership.

Requirements

Requires a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline, and at least five years of manufacturing experience leading process and continuous improvement initiatives. Candidates should have KPI and root cause analysis experience, strong communication and coaching skills, cross-functional collaboration abilities, and professional English proficiency; Spanish is an asset, and travel may be required.
