Senior Continuous Improvement Specialist

Position summary
Our client is looking for a Senior Continuous Improvement Specialists to join its Global Operations Excellence team in Montreal.
The successful candidates will lead cross-functional improvement and transformation initiatives across manufacturing and business operations. The role will focus on Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen events, problem solving, process optimization, operational performance, and the development of a continuous improvement culture.
Main responsibilities
- Lead continuous improvement and transformation projects connected to business priorities and operational objectives.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, PDCA, A3, 8D, BPM, Design Thinking, and Kaizen methods.
- Plan, facilitate, and follow up on Kaizen events, problem-solving workshops, root-cause analyses, process mapping sessions, and improvement activities.
- Coach continuous improvement specialists, ambassadors, managers, and operational teams while supporting the development of a continuous improvement culture.
- Track project progress, benefits, KPIs, and performance indicators, identifying actions required to maintain results.
- Prepare structured project updates and executive presentations while collaborating with sites and functions in Canada and internationally.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in continuous improvement, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, operational excellence, industrial engineering, project management, or a related field.
- Strong experience leading cross-functional improvement projects in manufacturing, aerospace, high-tech, industrial, or business operations environments.
- Practical experience with Lean tools, Kaizen events, Six Sigma, problem solving, BPM, A3, PDCA, 8D, process mapping, and workshop facilitation.
- Strong coaching, communication, active listening, and influencing skills, with the ability to work with managers and teams without direct authority.
- Professional fluency in French and English, with the ability to prepare KPI reports, executive presentations, and structured project documentation.
Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification and PMP certification are considered assets. The ideal candidate will be autonomous, results-oriented, organized, and comfortable managing several priorities in a fast-paced industrial environment.
