EHS Technician

Position Overview

We are seeking an EHS Technician to provide support across environmental, health, safety, and day-to-day site operations. This position will play an active role in inspections, employee training, safety documentation, compliance activities, and ongoing workplace improvement initiatives.

Type: Full-time, 6-month term

Payrate: ~$20-22 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support for EHS and operational priorities across the facility
• Assist with maintaining and improving workplace safety and compliance programs
• Coordinate and support employee safety training, inspections, documentation, and recordkeeping
• Help identify workplace hazards and support corrective actions through to completion
• Maintain accurate EHS records, reports, and compliance documentation
• Work with multiple departments to reinforce safe work practices and adherence to established procedures
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on efficiency, workflow, and operational performance
• Support site-wide priorities related to safety, quality, productivity, housekeeping, asset care, customer service, and employee development
• Assist Operations and Maintenance teams with safety-related and general operational activities as needed
• Contribute to a workplace culture focused on accountability, compliance, safety, and continuous improvement

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 2 years of experience in EHS, occupational health and safety, safety compliance, or a comparable safety-focused role
• Education or formal training in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Health & Safety, or a related technical discipline is preferred
• A technical diploma, college credential, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent practical experience is considered an asset
• Exposure to workplace safety programs, environmental requirements, regulatory compliance, industrial hygiene, occupational health programs, or risk management is preferred
• EHS-related certifications and additional safety training are considered strong assets
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada
