About the Work Environment

Responsibilities

  • Complete detailed soldering work on miniature parts
  • Use microscopes and visual-assistance equipment during assembly and inspection
  • Apply adhesives and bonding materials accurately
  • Perform visual checks to confirm quality and workmanship
  • Carry out routine testing and verification of completed assemblies
  • Document production activities and quality information clearly and accurately
  • Prepare completed products for packaging or shipment
  • Maintain an orderly and clean production area
  • Follow safety, quality, and regulatory requirements at all times
  • Lift or move materials weighing up to 50 lbs when required
  • Complete other production-related duties as assigned

Background We Are Looking For

Candidates with experience in detailed manual work are encouraged to apply.

Relevant experience may include:

  • Medical device production
  • Electronics assembly
  • Small-component manufacturing
  • PCB assembly
  • Hand soldering
  • Jewelry production or repair
  • Watchmaking
  • Laboratory work
  • Technical bench assembly
  • Other work requiring precise hand movements

What You’ll Need

  • Strong manual dexterity
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination
  • Ability to work with very small and delicate parts
  • Ability to maintain focus during repetitive tasks
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to follow written procedures exactly
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Comfort working independently for extended periods

Previous experience with soldering, microscopes, or magnification tools is considered an asset.

Preferred Experience

  • 6 to 12 months of relevant production, manufacturing, or precision assembly experience
  • Exposure to regulated manufacturing environments
  • Familiarity with medical device manufacturing practices
  • Knowledge of ISO 13485 is an asset
  • Post-secondary education in electronics, biotechnology, manufacturing, medical technology, or a related field is preferred
