Manulife Wealth | Diligence Wealth Management

Diligence Wealth Management, operating under Manulife Wealth, oversees more than $15 billion in assets under management. We are looking for an ambitious, entrepreneurial individual to join our team and build a long-term career in wealth management.

This is more than a job in finance. It is an opportunity to build your own book of business, develop lasting client relationships, and participate in the growth of an established wealth management practice.

Working directly alongside experienced investment advisors, you will develop the expertise, relationships, and business development skills needed to grow as an advisor. With mentorship, access to an established platform, and the opportunity to build ownership in the client relationships you develop, you will have the foundation to build a business of your own within our practice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build your own business: Identify and develop new business opportunities, cultivate referral sources, and acquire new clients.
  • Develop client relationships: Establish long-term relationships with individuals, families, professionals, and business owners.
  • Deliver comprehensive wealth management: Learn and apply the principles of retirement planning, tax and estate planning, and portfolio management.
  • Work alongside experienced advisors: Participate in financial planning, investment analysis, client meetings, and advisory activities.
  • Grow within the practice: Take increasing responsibility for client relationships and contribute directly to the growth of the business.

Who We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who wants to build something of their own, takes initiative, and is motivated by the opportunity to turn their efforts into long-term professional and financial success.

  • An entrepreneurial mindset and a strong desire to build a business.
  • A genuine interest in financial markets, investing, and wealth management.
  • Strong communication skills and the confidence to develop relationships and pursue new business.
  • A results-oriented attitude, with the discipline and resilience required to succeed in sales and business development.
  • A willingness to learn, take ownership, and build a long-term career as an investment advisor.

Sales and business development experience is strongly preferred. Candidates with a proven ability to generate leads, build relationships, or acquire clients will be particularly attractive.

Recent graduates and candidates transitioning into wealth management are also welcome to apply if they demonstrate strong entrepreneurial potential, a genuine interest in sales, and the drive to succeed. Relevant backgrounds in finance, business, economics, or other relationship-driven fields are assets.

For recent graduates, applicants must have completed their studies and be legally eligible to work full-time in Canada. Candidates applying through the post-graduation work permit (PGWP) pathway should have completed their studies and have submitted their work permit application or already hold valid work authorization permitting full-time employment.

Relevant industry licensing or registration, including CIRO registration and applicable Canadian securities regulatory credentials, is an asset.

The Opportunity

  • Entrepreneurial upside: Build your own client base and develop ownership in the client relationships you originate, subject to the practice's applicable arrangements.
  • Direct mentorship: Learn alongside experienced investment advisors with an established track record.
  • An established platform: Leverage the resources, expertise, and reputation of a practice overseeing more than $15 billion in assets.
  • A long-term career path: Develop from business development and client acquisition into a full-fledged advisory role, with the potential to build a substantial book of business. We are looking for someone who sees wealth management not simply as a career, but as an opportunity to build a business, create lasting relationships, and grow with an established team.
