- Advance the sponsor reporting strategy. Evolve traditional reporting toward proactive, insight-driven analytics that help sponsors understand their benefits programs, emerging trends and opportunities for action.
- Lead sponsor-facing analytics products and reporting. Oversee standardized and customized reporting, dashboards and self-service capabilities, ensuring a consistent and effective sponsor experience.
- Use analytics to improve outcomes for sponsors and members. Identify trends, opportunities and insights that support informed benefits decisions and contribute to improving the health and well-being of Canadians.
- Support broader Group Benefits analytics priorities. Apply the team’s capabilities and expertise to strategic business questions across product, customer, member, portfolio and operational analytics.
- Identify emerging analytical opportunities. Partner with business leaders to frame questions, assess available data, develop analytical approaches and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
- Strengthen data storytelling. Translate complex information into clear, relevant and actionable insights for sponsors, Distribution partners and senior business leaders.
- Drive consistency, efficiency and automation. Simplify reporting and analytical processes, reduce manual effort and create reusable capabilities that scale across Group Benefits.
- Advance the analytics data ecosystem. Partner with Data and Technology teams to establish the data, platforms and capabilities required for reliable, timely and increasingly sophisticated analytics.
- Champion data quality, governance and protection. Ensure reporting and analytical products use trusted data and adhere to enterprise governance, privacy and data protection standards.
- Establish measures of success. Define and monitor adoption, stakeholder value, reporting effectiveness, operational efficiency and advancement of analytical capabilities.
- Drive innovation and continuous improvement. Assess emerging technologies, analytical techniques and business opportunities that can improve sponsor insights and create value across Group Benefits.
- Represent Sponsor Analytics in cross-functional forums. Ensure sponsor reporting and broader analytics requirements are considered in Group Benefits data, product and technology decisions.
Required Qualifications:

- Demonstrated ability to apply analytics across business problems, including recurring reporting, exploratory analysis, strategic insights and scalable analytical solutions.
- Strong understanding of the Group Benefits business and the needs of plan sponsors, Distribution partners and internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrated experience developing and executing analytics and reporting strategies that balance immediate stakeholder needs with longer-term scalable capabilities.
- Experience partnering with Distribution and client-facing teams and using data visualization and storytelling to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience with modern analytics, business intelligence and data technologies, including dashboards, automated reporting and self-service analytics.
- Ability to identify analytical opportunities, structure ambiguous business questions and translate data into recommendations and business outcomes.
- Strong understanding of data quality, governance, privacy and protection, particularly for sponsor- or external-facing reporting.
