Original job description

The Risk Project Coordinator in Manulife Group Functions Technology (GFT) IT Security & Business Resilience (ITS&BR) team provides project support for ITS&BR producing and analyzing internal current state operating workflows for GFT Shared Services and assisting in designing the target state operating models by assessing operational inefficiencies. This is a hybrid position requiring 3 days onsite in the Toronto office.

Position Responsibilities:

Modeling workflows and handoffs across Risk Line 1b teams supporting Group Functions Technology.
Defining the interactive model between Risk Line 1b and other Support Service teams.
Documenting the SDLC/Agile process and gating requirements for GFT initiatives and incorporating Risk.
Representing the Line 1b team in project gating meetings and committees.

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in a Project Coordinator, PMO Analyst, Business Analyst, or related role.
Experience creating and maintaining process flows, workflows, and diagrams using Microsoft Visio or similar tools; Ability to translate complex processes into clear visual workflows.
Knowledge of Project Management Office (PMO) practices, methodologies, and governance processes.
Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Exposure to Risk Framework
Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; Strong attention to detail and documentation quality.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Teams.
Ability to work effectively with cross-functional business and technology teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

Exposure to project management methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid delivery models.
Familiarity with project governance, issue tracking, and status reporting.
Experience supporting risk, compliance, or control-related initiatives including knowledge of risk management concepts and information risk processes

Salary range is expected to be between

$113,000.00 CAD - $163,000.00 CAD

Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
