Role Description This is a on-site Social Media Content Creator role based in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada. The Social Media Content Creator develops and publishes engaging content for platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X, and Facebook, aligned with Maple Namu’s brand voice and strategic goals. Daily tasks include planning content calendars, creating copy and visual concepts, shooting short-form video, collaborating with designers and developers, and optimizing posts using analytics and performance metrics. The person in this role will work closely with marketing and product teams to support campaigns, launches, and ongoing storytelling across social channels.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in social media content creation, including short-form video, graphics, and platform-specific copywriting.
- Experience developing social media strategies, content calendars, and campaign concepts that align with brand and business goals.
- Ability to use social media analytics tools to track performance, interpret data, and refine content for engagement and reach.
- Strong writing and editing skills with attention to clarity, consistency, and inclusive language.
- Comfort working on-site in a collaborative environment in the Greater Toronto Area and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
- Familiarity with basic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, Figma) or mobile editing apps for social content.
- Understanding of current social media trends, digital storytelling techniques, and online community-building practices.
- Relevant education or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, media, design, or a related field is an asset.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt quickly in a fast-moving agency setting.
