Original job description

March Networks is an established global leader in the video surveillance industry and works with the world’s largest retailers and banking institutions. Our goal is to create a positive working environment where all of our employees can thrive. When you join our team, you’ll enjoy flexibility and support for a healthy work-life balance, as well as the professional development opportunities needed to advance your career. At March Networks, we value your hard work, creativity and your passionate desire to deliver only the best to our customers, partners and each other.

Opportunity:

March Networks is building video-enabled business intelligence solutions in the cloud and is looking for a Junior Test Specialist (SDET) with cloud and analytics experience to help us deliver with impeccable quality. We are looking for a person who is passionate about quality, test automation and technology, possesses a collaborative mindset, and has a deep curiosity as to how things work ‘under the hood’ as well as an ability to create and maintain a high-quality, effective test plan.

If you enjoy pushing boundaries, challenging the status quo, and working with the latest technologies, then we would love to hear from you!

Duties and Responsibilities:

Build and execute test plans covering our cloud-based video management and analytics solution.
Help build and manage world-class customer-like environments comprising a mixture of cloud applications and equipment.
Deliver value to our customers by validating business workflows across the product suite.
Design, write and execute end-to-end manual (30%) and automated (70%) tests and manage results.
Write crisp, reproducible defect and observation tickets and collaborate with development, product management and other stakeholders to get them resolved.

· Help develop the test automation roadmap for our solution with the goal of increasing automation coverage across the board.

Discover and analyze quality gaps and proactively take action to fix them.
Manage quality by owning defects, production incidents, user-workflow test plans, orchestrating automated testing with the teams, and prioritizing technical debt and architectural spikes where appropriate to improve the quality of the product suite.
Comply with established automation guidelines and standards for code consistency and maintainability.

Qualifications:

College or bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering program
2-4 years of professional experience in automated testing on a cloud platform with video, analytics or AI.
Understanding of cloud computing platforms, web, mobile, desktop apps, hardware platforms, API and database testing technologies
Strong test planning and test execution skills
Knowledge of automated testing industry best practices and trends
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced international environment.
Experience with web automation frameworks such as Cypress and Playwright.
Familiarity with Linux/Windows development environments
Capable of delivering on multiple competing priorities with little supervision
Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Differentiators:

· Demonstrated experience with agile testing.

· Demonstrated ability to ‘wear the customer’s hat’.

· Demonstrated continuous improvement mindset.

Familiarity with Python, JavaScript and/or Java.
Familiarity with Jenkins, Git, Confluence and Jira
Ability to speak and understand Mandarin.

March Networks is an equal-opportunity employer and supports a diverse workforce.

Accommodations are available upon request for candidates taking part in all aspects of the selection process. Applicants can make their accommodation needs known to us in their application.
