Original job description

March Networks is an established global leader in the video surveillance industry and works with the world's largest retailers and banking institutions. Our goal is to create a positive working environment where all of our employees can thrive. When you join our team, you'll enjoy flexibility and support for a healthy work-life balance, as well as the professional development opportunities needed to advance your career. At March Networks, we value your hard work, creativity and your passionate desire to deliver only the best to our customers, partners and each other.

Role Overview

This role leads end‑to‑end Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) for March Networks and Vivotek hardware (SSS LOB). The Senior Manager is accountable for aligning demand, supply, and financial plans, and for translating those plans into executable build, capacity, and inventory commitments with our global Contract Manufacturing partners, including Delta and Sanmina. The role works in close partnership with the Senior Professional, Procurement, who owns supplier strategy and commercial negotiations.

Key Responsibilities

S&OP / IBP ownership

Architect, implement, and continuously improve the S&OP / IBP framework, calendar, and governance across Sales, Operations, Finance, Product, and Engineering
Define the S&OP key metrics, including standard templates, KPIs, and RACI, to ensure a disciplined, repeatable process
Lead monthly demand, supply, and executive S&OP reviews; ensure decisions are translated into MPS/MRP, capacity plans, and commercial commitments
Integrate demand forecasts, supply plans, and financial plans to deliver revenue, service level, and inventory objectives while managing risk for both March Networks and Vivotek demand (SSS LOB)
Benchmark and embed best practices, tools, and analytics to support scenario planning and decision quality

Demand, supply, and inventory planning

Lead development of a consensus demand plan by integrating sales input from March Networks and Vivotek sales regions, market intelligence, and statistical forecasts, including NPI demand
Oversee forecasting methodologies, forecast accuracy and metrics, and demand risk/opportunity management
Work with Operations / Supply Chain to translate demand into capacity, supply, and inventory plans that meet service and working capital targets
Lead scenario planning for upside/downside demand, component constraints, customer priorities, inventory investment, and revenue recovery strategies

Contract manufacturing planning and logistics

Serve as the planning interface to global contract manufacturing partners, including Delta, Sanmina, and future partners across North America, Europe, and Asia
Manage a rolling 6-12-month forecast, including fixed, flex, and forecast windows, with MPS/MRP visibility and clear rules for expedites, reschedules, and minimum order quantities to stabilize planning and ensure supply continuity
Manage raw material risk and liability exposure by leveraging Kinaxis to provide visibility into work orders, WIP, purchase orders, and inventory, reconciled against demand
Support global third-party and outsourced logistics locations for inventory management, configuration capabilities, and direct order fulfillment, including inbound, outbound, and intercompany shipment logistics

BOM and material availability

Use Bill of Materials (BOM) analysis to inform S&OP decisions, including long lead‑time risk and early‑purchase strategies, in partnership with Procurement
Serve as the point of escalation for material shortages impacting builds, pilot runs, and volume product builds, coordinating mitigation across planning, engineering, procurement, and suppliers
Incorporate supply risks identified by Procurement (EOL, allocation, tariff, single-source) into supply plans and scenario reviews

Executive engagement and change leadership

Present S&OP outcomes, supply risks, and scenario analyses to executive leadership, driving data‑driven decisions
Champion cross‑functional alignment between Sales, Product, Engineering, Operations, Finance, and Procurement, resolving conflicts and enforcing accountability for planning inputs and actions
Lead change management to elevate S&OP maturity, including process improvements, tool adoption, and capability building across the organization
Participate in Product Line readiness and gate reviews, clearly articulating supply status, risks, and mitigation plans

Performance management and governance

Define and monitor planning KPIs, including forecast accuracy and bias, OTIF, inventory turns, capacity utilization, material availability, and NPI launch readiness
Ensure that S&OP decisions are reflected in ERP/APS data and material masters
Drive continuous improvement in planning, quantifying financial and operational benefits (e.g., reduced expedites, improved fill rates, lower obsolescence)

Qualifications And Experience

8+ years of experience in supply chain, operations, or planning in the high‑tech / networking or electronics industry
5+ years of direct experience leading S&OP/IBP or integrated demand/supply planning processes, ideally in a hardware or systems environment
Experience working with contract manufacturers and outsourced logistics providers, including forecast commitments and liability management
Strong understanding of MRP/MPS, capacity planning, and inventory management, and how they connect to S&OP and financial planning
Proficiency with ERP and planning systems (e.g., SAP, Kinaxis, or similar) and advanced Excel/analytics
Excellent communication, facilitation, and leadership skills; proven ability to influence cross‑functional stakeholders and executives and to drive decisions under time pressure
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, including financial analysis and scenario modeling
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business, or related field; APICS/ASCM certification (CPIM, CSCP) or a Master's degree is an asset

Personal attributes

Strategic, systems thinker who can connect commercial and operational decisions end‑to‑end
Highly collaborative and team‑oriented, with the presence to lead cross‑functional forums and executive reviews
Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced, ambiguous environment with multiple concurrent NPI programs and evolving customer demand
Results‑driven with a focus on disciplined execution, continuous improvement, and measurable impact on revenue and service
