Job Description

The Procurement Manager leads Marcon’s construction procurement capability across the project portfolio, ensuring subcontractors, suppliers, materials, and major equipment are sourced strategically and aligned with project cost, schedule, quality, safety, and commercial requirements.

The role provides commercial leadership across procurement planning, market engagement, tendering, bid evaluation, negotiation, award, and project handover. It also strengthens Marcon’s trade relationships, market intelligence, and portfolio-level procurement discipline.

Working closely with Preconstruction, Estimating, Construction, Finance, and other project stakeholders, the Procurement Manager provides clear commercial insight, identifies procurement and supply-chain risks early, and supports sound decisions across the portfolio.

The Opportunity

This role offers the opportunity to shape procurement across a growing portfolio of development and construction projects. You will help strengthen procurement practices, build strong trade and supplier relationships, and bring greater visibility to cost, timing, market conditions, and supply-chain risks.

You will play an important role in connecting project requirements with the right procurement strategies and commercial outcomes, while supporting consistency and continuous improvement across the portfolio.

What You Bring

You bring 5–7+ years of progressive experience in construction procurement, estimating, preconstruction, project management, commercial management, subcontract management, or a related field.

You have experience procuring significant construction trade, supplier, material, or equipment packages and strong knowledge of construction pricing, subcontractor markets, commercial terms, procurement risk, and supply-chain considerations.

You are experienced in complex commercial negotiations, bid evaluation, and developing procurement recommendations. You build strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, consultants, project teams, and senior stakeholders while maintaining commercial discipline.

Post-secondary education in Construction Management, Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Building Technology, Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline is preferred. Equivalent industry experience will be considered.

You bring strong strategic judgment, communication, analytical, and collaboration skills, along with a willingness to responsibly leverage digital and AI-enabled tools to improve decision-making and efficiency.
