The Event Service Specialist (ESS) is the day-of onsite primary client point of contact for assigned programs and events. This role is responsible for the onsite execution of all program and event logistics, ensuring exceptional client/guest experiences by providing superior customer service for Maritz Global Events onsite operations. Additionally, you will be responsible for maintaining and auditing assigned internal event spaces.

60% - Event Operation Logistics: Manages all onsite logistics for assigned program/event: transportation, registration, hospitality desk, catering, facilities, activities, technology and executive/VIP handling. Provides guidance and is consultative to clients and guests. Conforms to all corporate, department & performance policies. Assists in problem solving. Anticipates and resolves challenges onsite. Maintains proactive, positive, open line of communication with client to ensure understanding of expectations and client satisfaction. Ensures overall attendee and guest experience is exceptional by demonstrating a high level of customer service.

20% - Internal Event Space Management: Responsible for regularly maintaining and auditing assigned internal event spaces. Demonstrates strong attention to detail by identifying areas that need improvement. Manages running list of maintenance items, submitting request and following up to ensure issue is resolved.

20% - Administrative/Project Support: Manages team resource documents and various projects as assigned by manager.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required. Strong preference for degree programs in hospitality/event management or equivalent hospitality experience.
Must possess the ability to read/write fluently in both English & French.
Excellent computer skills, knowledge of G-suite tools & ability to learn new technology quickly.
Professional communication, teamwork and leadership skills required.
Must have ability to work with a flexible schedule that could include last minute changes.
Must be able to handle physical demands of the position which may include but are not limited to: extensive standing, lifting, etc.
Must be dependable, flexible, self-directed and able to work with all levels of employees both independently and in a team.

Anticipe et résout les défis sur place. Maintient une ligne de communication proactive, positive et ouverte avec le client pour assurer la compréhension des attentes et la satisfaction du client. Assure une expérience exceptionnelle pour les participants et invités en démontrant un niveau élevé de service client.

20% - Gestion des espaces événementiels internes: Responsable de l'entretien régulier et de l'audit des espaces événementiels internes assignés. Fait preuve d'une grande attention aux détails en identifiant les zones nécessitant des améliorations. Gère la liste des éléments de maintenance, soumet des demandes et fait des suivis pour s'assurer que les problèmes sont résolus.

20% - Support administratif/projet: Gère les documents de ressources de l'équipe et divers projets assignés par le gestionnaire.

Qualifications

Baccalauréat ou expérience équivalente requis. Forte préférence pour les programmes en gestion de l'hôtellerie/événements ou expérience équivalente dans l'hôtellerie.
Doit posséder la capacité de lire/écrire couramment l’anglais et le français.
Excellentes compétences en informatique, maîtrise des outils G Suite et capacité à apprendre rapidement de nouvelles technologies.
Compétences professionnelles en communication, travail d'équipe et leadership requises. La maîtrise d'une langue étrangère est un atout.
Doit être capable de travailler avec un horaire flexible, qui peut inclure des changements de dernière minute.
Doit être capable de gérer les exigences physiques du poste, qui peuvent inclure mais ne sont pas limitées à : de longues périodes debout, le levage, etc.
Doit être fiable, flexible, autonome et capable de travailler avec tous les niveaux d'employés, à la fois de manière indépendante et en équipe.
