Job Description:

The Digital Merchandiser & Media Analyst plays a critical part in bringing the iconic Mars Snacking portfolio to life online across our digital commerce retailer websites. In addition to supporting dComm excellence and growth, this is a hybrid role that will also support the Media function with select executional and analytic needs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining best-in-class digital shelf presence across retailers such as Amazon, Walmart, Loblaws, Costco, Sobeys Voila, Instacart, DoorDash, and Uber, while leveraging data and analytics to drive business performance, identify growth opportunities, and improve the online shopper experience. This individual will also drive Brand growth by supporting the development of integrated consumer experience plans through select media execution and analytical support, partnering with Marketing and agency stakeholders across the paid, earned, shared, and owned IAT network.

This role requires split time between the Bolton and Mississauga offices with regular in-office collaboration expected. Flexibility is a key enabler - empowering associates to make choices that support both business outcomes and personal needs, including remote work.

What are we looking for?

Post Secondary education in a related field.
2 to 3 years of experience in digital commerce, digital analytics, or digital merchandising.
Strong proficiency navigating key vendor and content platforms (e.g. Amazon Vendor Central, Salsify, GS1).
Experience in media and integrated communications in CPG or agency environments would be an asset.
Strong analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into business insights.
Proven project management skills, attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.

What will be your key responsibilities?

Content Strategy & Creation:

Develop and implement digital merchandising strategies to achieve sales targets and enhance the online shopping experience.
Partner with Internal Marketing team to align on content briefing and lead projects with external marketing agencies to lead the development of digital assets (copywriting, SEO optimization, Image creation, video development, media assets creation).
Align with global guidelines and best practices for asset creation across core portfolio, Innovation launches, micro-moments, seasonal periods, and transitional Items. Make recommendations for staying ahead of competition.

Content Management:

Own the end-to-end management of digital product content across key retailer platforms. Point of contact for digital & media assets, retailer guidelines, content strategy, optimization, and implementation.
Collaborate with sales teams to update Product Detail Pages (PDP's) across retailer websites to improve brand presence on the digital shelf and enhance online shopper experience.
Drive Perfect Digital Store improvements across retailer websites, focusing on assortment, navigation, content, and search
Serve as the subject matter expert for Salsify, GS1, and Amazon Vendor Central. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve common content and catalogue issues, including backend errors, listing suppression, broken content, image issues, variation issues, and product availability problems.

dComm Analytics & Reporting:

Build, maintain, and continuously improve dComm performance dashboards. Ensure data accuracy and maintain recurring reporting processes.
Support the analysis of performance trends across retailers, brands, and categories and identification of commercial opportunities to improve traffic, conversion, and sales across Pureplay, Omni-channel, and On Demand Delivery channels.
Utilize web analytics tools to track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as traffic, conversion rates, and average order value.
Lead total dComm scorecard reporting every period. Support monthly business reviews and retailer performance reporting.
Monitor competitor activities and industry trends to identify opportunities and potential threats.

Media Analyst:

Support Mars Snacking Media lead and agencies in execution of select media plans and PESO activations, ensuring on-budget and on-time delivery.
Support management of budgets, forecasting, invoicing, and governance processes. pro-actively identify risks, resolve issues, drive continuous improvement across ways-of-working.
Support Media lead and agencies in guiding measurement and optimization of select campaign performance, ensuring translation of data into clear recommendations to improve investment effectiveness and business outcomes.
Collaborate with key agencies and internal stakeholders, driving effective partnership across brand, digital, dComm, finance, legal, and procurement teams.
