Job Description:

The future of shopping is frictionless, experiential, and everywhere! The Manager, Digital Commerce plays a critical part in accelerating growth for our iconic Mars Snacking portfolio across retailer (Omni and Pure Play) and on-demand commerce platforms. This role will lead digital commerce efforts shaping the vision, strategy, and overseeing program execution in this important growth area to drive shopper conversion. You will be responsible for leadership of retail media investments and related marketing opportunities, sharpening analytics and measurement approaches, and clear activation roadmaps by channel and customer to shape the future.

This role requires split time between the Bolton and Mississauga offices with regular in-office collaboration expected. Flexibility is a key enabler - empowering associates to make choices that support both business outcomes and personal needs, including remote work.

What are we looking for?

Post Secondary education in Business, Marketing, or a related field
5+ years of experience within eCommerce/Digital Commerce (experience with Marketing an asset) preferably within CPG client-side food environment.
Strong understanding of Digital Commerce fundamentals (retail media tools & offerings, content management, assortment, pricing & promo strategies & KPIs)
Strong familiarity with grocery Omni, Amazon, and On-Demand Delivery platforms – content optimization, retail media activations, and smart measurement approaches to drive incremental growth.
Proven ability to create direction, translating business needs into tailored strategies within priority digital commerce channels.
Experience partnering with and guiding agency and platform partners in measuring, optimizing, and prioritizing return on investments.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Influencing with and without authority Is often required of this role. This role requires a high level of proactiveness, initiative, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration.
Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends and explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences effectively.

What will be your key responsibilities?

Retail Digital Media: Lead search and DSP strategies across Omni, Pure Play, and ODD platforms. Identify priority brand/product focus areas for investment by platform, driving stronger return on investment, sales, share, and profit. Coordinate with platform partners and/or media agency in execution, real-time optimization, and socialization of post-analyses. Evaluate test-and-learn media opportunities to drive conversion.
Thought Leadership through Data, Reporting & Insights: Shape the future by developing and deploying a regular cadence of performance deep-dives and reporting, focusing on distilling information into simple, concise summaries of insights and implications, socializing with leadership with cross-functional teams. Identify and implement opportunities to elevate tracking and measurement to validate incremental impact and return. Develop a clear roadmap marrying channel role and strategy to business objectives to accelerate incremental growth to influence and guide prioritization and investment choices.
Experience Plan Collaboration: Partner with Marketing, Sales, and agency partners to identify opportunities to effectively integrate digital commerce into national annual Paid-Earned-Shared-Owned plans and activations.
Capability Building – Lead capability building across teams – inspired and educate on trends, best practices, and learning. Support leadership in making the organization “future-ready” and think “digital first”. Maintain connectivity with global and US teams to learn and share best-in-class strategies and execution.
Operational Support: Partner with Digital Merchandiser to ensure performance learning and roadmaps are translated effectively into optimized content and digital shelf strategies. Oversee annual budget setting process and ongoing administration.
