About the Client:
Our client is a Data Security Platform startup that protects sensitive data before it ever reaches an app, a pipeline, or an AI model.
Their product is used by large enterprises across Finance, Insurance, Telco, and Healthcare to reduce risk, simplify compliance, and make exposed data unusable.
They're bootstrapped and have crossed the $15M ARR mark this year. The mission now is to enable data security in a world where Agentic AI tools are embedded within enterprise systems and have more access to private data than ever before.
The Opportunity:
You will own the roadmap for Agentic Data Security and Posture Management, which is the main focus for the company in 2027.
You will make AI-driven discovery and classification the core of the product: ML- and LLM-based classifiers, embedding similarity, and context-aware sensitivity detection that find sensitive data wherever it lives
You will define what success looks like for AI features: classification accuracy and coverage, false-positive cost, adoption and activation targets, and the leading indicators that show a capability is landing before revenue confirms it.
The Skills/Requirement Needed to Succeed:
- You currently own a Data Security Product, and have experience building and launching agentic features for it.
- You have extensive experience in the data security domain - DSPM, DLP, CASB, cloud security, data governance, or an adjacent data/infrastructure domain.
- You have experience defining agentic AI products - tool use, orchestration, guardrails, human-in-the-loop gating, and prompt-injection hardening.
- You are able to commute to an office in Mississauga 1 - 2 days/week.

Responsibilities
